We are a team of writers. We are a team of moms.  We are Writer Moms!  We have experienced what it is like to be a mother and to be completely clueless about raising our children. Through mutual support and help, we have risen out of our early mom days and we want to help you now. We love reading and writing self-improvement and self-help books, especially parenting books that will help you become the best version of yourself for your children. Whether you are a new mother, a veteran mother or an expectant mother, our books can help you.  We have positive, practical advice for all the Mommies (and the Daddies) out there. Instead of just telling you what to do, we believe in giving you step-by-step user guides for your everyday problems.  We love cooking and preparing delicious food for our children and our families. We love spending time with our loved ones. We are Mommies who have jobs, businesses and are stay-at-home parents, and we can help you with many of your questions. Most of our books deal with children and parenting, but we also love to write on other topics related to your home and family.  Most importantly, we believe in a happy home, and we would love to help to make your life so much better, as it should be.

How To Be The Best Mom - Jennifer N. Smith

    Introduction

We all have challenges. Especially if we are mothers. Mothers have a hard gig and there is a lot of pressure associated with it. We have to raise a member of society right. We have to do right by them and ensure that they will be able to function as independent, successful adults. That is our responsibility to the world. And more importantly, that is our responsibility to our child.

In this book, you will learn ways that can help you to improve your family dynamics and work on creating an environment where your child or children can thrive. Nobody can do this for you. And you are taking it seriously enough to read this book. If you love your child enough to try, then you can’t fail.

Chapter 1 - Supporting Your Child Through Thick and Thin – A Mother’s Unwavering Devotion

An ideal mother loves and supports her children no matter what. She is there for them through thick and thin to offer her unending love and devotion to the child who needs to hear that there is at least one person in the world who will always be in their corner. A mother who shows support to her child is a mother who is able to hold on to that close bond with her child, even if the individual their child grew into is not what she had expected. But she is pleasantly surprised by the unexpected strengths her child has developed on their individual journey for identity. She accepts and celebrates them as an individual.

Because our children are individuals, when they begin to show interest in something, it is not our job to show them how hard it will be or the pitfalls that lie ahead. A mother’s ideal job is to listen with interest to the things your child feels expresses their individuality and helps them to become the person that they want to become. Mothers may have an ideal life plan or path laid out for their child, one with precious few obstacles, no doubt. And it may make you angry when you find that the path your child has chosen differs from the one you had planned out in your mind.

This kind of anger is normal, and is a result of deep love. However, if you are not careful with the expression of this anger, you could damage the relationship between yourself and your child beyond repair. Your job as a parent is to guide and nurture, not control and lead forever. We want to create individuals who are happy in their own lives and relationships. We do not want to create people who are uncomfortable doing what makes them happy in case it upsets those they care about the most.

When you find yourself angry that your child has chosen a path you don’t approve of, why do you think that is? Mothers do not have an automatic moral high ground. Actually, nobody can dictate your child’s morals but your child. Perhaps that anger comes from fear. If your child follows an unknown path, you cannot be there to support them through every step. You have not accumulated the amount of experience necessary to guide them through this challenge. They are at risk of hurting themselves or finding danger along the way that could leave them damaged and disillusioned.

While all those things may be true, as your child grows older it is important to realize that sometimes, those are good things. If your child wants to go their own way and you are strong enough to tell them that they are the pioneer and you won’t always know how to help them, it will give them a chance to develop individual skills that can serve them throughout the rest of their lives.

We want to discourage people from being interested in things that we can’t understand, or that we consider dangerous
