    Essential oils have been around for thousands of years, and consistently linked with spiritual and medicinal properties. The ancient Egyptians used them for medical purposes, and in India, the oldest healing art known in human history, ayurveda, has utilized oils as a way of cleansing and purifying the body in many different ways. In fact, massages done with essential oils on the skin are a daily practice that keeps the body healthy and revitalized. It has been frequently believed that the fastest way into the body and the bloodstream is through the epidermus, meaning that putting healthy oils on the skin can both take toxins out of the body and put better nutrients into the body.

    Oil pulling has been used for centuries as a way to keep the mouth clean and take bacteria out. This has mostly been done using coconut oils and sesame oils in their purest and most raw form. The oils bind the toxins to them and take them out of the body, providing it with a sense of relief and helping to cure whatever might be ailing it.

    Medicinal practitioners have utilized these methods for centuries as ways of helping their patients to avoid the difficulties associated with poor health. Olive oils were used by the ancient Romans as a way to cleanse the body and wash off the resins on their skins when they were unable to bathe. All throughout biblical times, oils were used to speed up the healing time on wounds and provide the sufferer with relief, whether this relief was mental, spiritual, and physical. Essential oils have been used everywhere from Persia to Germany, and have had quite a colorful array of plants and uses applied to them. Most of these uses are still known today and are being used in many cultures as a way to treat ailments common to the human condition.

    It took a while to catch on to the ways that essential oils could be utilized, but eventually the western world began to take a page out of the history books for itself. Finally, it became common to accept that the same botanical benefits found in plants could be replicated, if not multiplied, when using pure forms of the richest and most medicinal and uplifting essential oils. The process has been refined down to a science, and the botanical plants and herbs are boiled and strained over and over again in fat until they have achieved the level of purity and strength required to make a difference in the lives of anybody who chooses to apply the oils to their bodies.

    Ayurveda is the oldest form of medicine known to man that still has the original records showing how and when certain things were utilized in order to help the body. This ancient healing art has utilized oils for thousands of years, and have done so as a way of providing the body with gentle and relaxing massages that are able to remove dangerous toxins and chemicals from the body that can cause illness and leave us feeling sick and tired and fatigued. Most people have a hard time functioning when they are feeling ill, but if you are able to prevent more toxins from entering your body, then you will be able to function at a higher capacity then you do when you are ill on a normal basis.
