About this ebook

At some stage, I kept ideas that came in my mind in a file called; Short Stories. I now decided that I can just as well issue this as a book, as the stories are good enough, at least in my view.

When I started this book, it was that due to my illness I got more emotional and stories kept going through my mind. I have had earlier moments like this, always during periods of extreme stress.

The shorter stories often happen when I see natural things happening in front of me, and these happenings always in some way involve people. Thanks to those people – whoever they are – I do not know you, but you were there when I had one of my daydreams.

I made sure that all the stories read easily. It is intended to be this way, accessible for everybody who may need the content.

The stories in this book come from two main sources:

Daydreaming, when I sit in a relaxed environment.

Spiritual stories that I found in various books and U-Tube videos.

I did not copy any of the stories, except when I say so; I wrote my version of the truth that I found. In the end, we can tell the truth in lots of different ways, but there can be only one truth. To pretend that we can convert the truth into something as simple as a language is, of course, a joke. However, us humans, unfortunately, can only communicate consciously at the material level of awareness by using our languages. So be it. Now we wait for all the misunderstandings and misinterpretations that result from the use of these languages.

After all the challenges, and happy moments I have gone through, the sum of which we call our material life, I have committed to help anybody who needs, and wants, my help. I will listen to anybody who wants to talk, and I advise those, who require help on their unique spiritual path. Anybody who feels lost can get in contact.

If people want me to give a talk or presentation, I will also be available. Unfortunately, I need to charge the cost incurred, but I promise that it will be cheap. I do not like very expensive hotels, and, as I lead a vegan-vegetarian lifestyle, my food is cheap.

    About the author

    Introduction

I started this book because I incline to write short stories when natural beauty becomes obvious to me. Initially, I wrote these stories with the objective of using them later in one of my books. Several of the stories I used in my weekly blogs. I did not intend to publish the stories in a book format, but when I went through them, I realised that with a bit of adjustment, they would combine into a book. It also occurred to me that, possibly, people would like to read these stories.

I find a lot of spiritual writings difficult to grasp. However, when I read the stories of Khalil Gibran, I realised that this man intended to convey the truth as he saw it in a clear way. No extremely clever and difficult to congest language, no, he made what he felt needed to be said understandable for ordinary people, like me.

It is understandable that people who are born with superior intellect will use clever ways to convey the truth as they see it. At some stage in the past, spiritually inclined people considered that only those with the ability to grasp the truth behind allegorical stories are worthy of knowing this truth.

In a way, I can understand this view. Why write for people who do not care or understand? On the other hand, we should not assume that only those with what we call ‘superior intelligence’ have the right to know what we consider is the truth. In my life, I met quite some people who prove to be intelligent but do not have much consideration for anything else that is alive, except for themselves. Selection of who is ready for spiritual development and, therefore, is entitled to our assistance is not our task. As seekers, we assist everybody who asks for our assistance. We do not exclude anybody. We certainly do not rank those we assist based on the level of their intelligence.

One of the objectives of this book is, therefore, to convey my opinion that I do not agree with hiding the spiritual truth as I see this truth. All living entities occupying this material world have the right to know what spirituality is when they want to know. When they are not interested, well, in that case, they will not read my books. When those entities start searching for the truth, the truth should be there to find it. We should never hide the truth and the reality of the spiritual path.

Of course, I wrote this book in the English language. It will, therefore, only be accessible to humans who can read, and those that understand the English language. All entities in this world include everything created. So be it, in my effort to create something for all, I limit the truth again to a select group of living entities.

Be aware that we can only experience the truth. Language and the words created by this language belong in the material world, and the reality is well beyond the understanding of those that live at the awareness level of the material world. Intelligence, language and words are part of the creation made by the mind. The mind will never be able to grasp the total truth.

The spiritual path is in a way a funny road to travel. We all start with a clear understanding of what the reality is. We see it all around us, why question all this beauty? The further we treat on the path, the more the reality starts to come to us that we know very little. The result is that we become insecure. We start wondering whether we will ever fully grasp what the meaning is of this life.

What I say is that the more we move forward, the less we know. Although this is our perception, it is also true. The more knowledge we acquire, the more we realise that the amount of knowledge available is infinite. Be therefore prepared for this bit of disappointment. The spiritual path is not a road for those who wish to know all there is to know.

At times, I meet people who appear to know all there is to know. Those people got blessed with something that we can refer to as megalomania. I avoid those people. I want to learn, and I do not think I can learn from those that know everything.
