Chapter SeparatorRebecca Mack, a delicate woman with a realistic outlook on life. She’s spent many years working herself to the bone and then some to prove her worth to her crotchety boss, Shirley Tate. While Shirley gained fame for the designs from her designing company, she rarely gave credit to those who carried out the blueprints, the supplies and the labor to get things done. Rebecca, being the one to get snubbed all the time from her boss, had enough of the torment of being cast aside.
A designing opportunity arose and Shirley became intrigued.
How fascinating.
Shirley chimed with cockiness.
Do you know anyone capable of making this happen?

Shirley cackled to herself, reminiscent of a witch. She pressed a button on her office phone and paged for Rebecca.
Rebecca, please come to my office. There’s something we need to discuss.
Yes, boss.
Rebecca responded and with swift movements headed to her office.
She knocked gently on the oversized oak door and a stern voice penetrated through.
Come in.
Rebecca slowly opened the door, peeking in to catch a glimpse of the situation before entering. She tucked her wiry black-brown hair behind her ears and flipped the ends off her shoulders.
You needed to see me?
Her voice turned soft and hush.
I really wish you would do something with your hair. It’s awful looking at your roots peeking out.
Shirley barked. That’s beside the point.
She waved the thought off. Have a seat.
Rebecca closed the door slowly causing it to creak eerily. Shirley shivered and placed her finger in her ear to block some of the clamor. Rebecca seated herself in the chair across from her boss and awaited the criticism she was
