Not just a cookbook, the first part of the book is a treatise on vegetarianism in its many forms. I pretty much skipped that part. As an omnivore who enjoys vegetarian foods 3-4 days a week, I was just interested in some new recipes. This book was written by a Swede for people in Sweden so I also chose to skip recipes that called for what would be non-local foodstuffs here in the USA. However, there are still plenty of pleasing, easy-to-make and innovative recipes for every meal of the day for North Americans. I plan to try some few. Recommend it to others with the same cooking interests. The only thing I truly do wish it had is a USA nutritional chart for each recipe - so helpful in creating balanced meals and carb counting.
