Beth, I'm at my wit's end. I just don't know what to do. I admitted to my best friend over the phone. It's been three months since we've had sexy times and it's starting to get to me, you know?

Yeah, I do, Beth replied. I'm not really sure what to say. Have you checked his phone or the computer --

What? You don't really think Wayne's fooling around on me, do you? I raised my voice.

Beth sighed. Sue Ellen, she started as though she was cluing me in on a fact of life that I'd skipped. Sometimes men - and women - you know, get that urge.

To stray? I shook my head in disbelief. I couldn't accept the idea of Wayne banging other chicks behind my back. That just wasn't like him.

I'm just saying that sometimes it's possible.

We made small talk after that, but all that night, I just couldn't think about anything else. Was my guy cheating on me? God forbid! Then again, I wouldn't have been the first woman that had happened to and certainly wouldn't be the last. But Wayne?

My restless night turned into morning and I decided that I'd had enough. If he really was cheating on me I wanted to know about it. I didn't know what I was going to do if he was yet, but I could figure that out as I went along.

He'd already gone off to work, so I didn't have access to his cell-phone, but maybe I'd find something on the computer. Maybe not, but it was worth a shot. I mean, maybe he had a medical condition and was just too embarrassed to say anything about it. Whatever it was - and at this point I was convinced there was a reason - I wanted it out in the open.

If he was cheating, I wanted to know. If it was something medical, I wanted to know about that, too. If it just meant that our marriage needed spicing up, then that was something I needed to also. No matter what it was, it needed to come out so it could be dealt with.

I just hoped and prayed that he wasn't fooling around with another woman. That would've broke my heart.

With trembling fingers, I powered on the computer, waited the interminable minutes that it took to boot up and brought up our browser. I wasn't anywhere near as skilled as many of the younger generation, but I could find my way around a computer.
