Gemma, Season One, Episode 5: The CRD Series: Season One, #5

About this ebook
Another day of chaos in the Davenport household. A spa day goes awry and a seance, set up by Gemma to talk to her dad, gets out of hand. They get way more than they bargained for, but may gain the leverage they need to deal with Mark's parents.
Ford continues to try and resist Daisy. Yaya sets Daisy up to keep Tommy at bay, and Tommy ruins Pops plans for a fun sexy evening with Yaya.
Just your average dysFUNctional day at the Davenports household.
Warning: If you are looking for a sweet, sensitive book with a happily ever after, this isn't it. It is a totally inappropriate book about a completely dysfunctional family. The F word flies free along with many other curse words. Feel free to get drunk (because the Davenports sure are!) while you're reading it, and prepare to wet yourself laughing. If sex scenes are not your thing, this book might not be your thing. But, if you have a crazy sense of humor and like raunchy comedies - you're in the right place. Join in on the craziness of The Crazy Rich Davenport Family.

Character Profile
Welcome to the strangely wild and funny series - The Crazy Rich Davenports
If you love sexy scenes, a bit of bad behavior, and don’t mind bad language - you are in the right place.
Dare to Enter the craziness of this wild and
dys-FUN-ctional family.
Meet the Davenports
Yaya and Pops. Parents to Lucy Davenport - the mother of a brood of children. Yaya is not your typical sweet grandmother. She’s rich, but acts like she’s poor and finds creative way to make money. She loves colored wigs, black nail polish and bright red lipstick. She is one of the funnest characters either one of us has ever written.
Lucy - the messed up mother of the brood of Davenport’s. She lost her husband a year ago and it’s taken her this long to get her life back on track - at least she tries until she’s dealt another blow.
Ford - is the oldest of Lucy’s children. He’s in college, very smart, and handsome, but his downfall is his love for Daisy - the nanny, who has many secrets.
Gemma - She’s the sweet and innocent of all the clan.
Daisy - is the Nanny for the younger Davenport children. She’s a complete mess and has many different layers to her. You will enjoy getting to know her…them.
Other children you will read about in this book:
Imogene, Mark Jr.
Bets, Bryant, Frankie, Twins - Erik and Evan
Other characters - Slutty Pepper and Tommy the Zombie Hunter and many others.
Chapter One
Gemma
IHAVE MY lists laid in a row on the counter waiting for my family to stir awake and head to the kitchen for breakfast before their day begins.
Me, I’ve been awake all night. I don’t think I had a solid hour’s worth of sleep last night, and I was awake before the sun peeked its light from the horizon.
I discovered Roxy is an early riser too. While I had been sipping herbal tea this morning, wrapped in a blanket on the back patio, I caught movement by the brush. I spotted her walking the perimeter waving her sage in the air, warding off bad spirits. I walked with her, and she prepped me for our séance tonight, also offering to host it. I’ve been making lists for everyone since and they’re labeled by name. Roxy’s suggestions, as written on the notes will make for a smoother séance, according to Roxy. What do I know about séances? To be clear, I didn’t believe in ghosts until two days ago.
Number one: only those who actually believe in the spirit world are welcome to join the séance.
My family better get their beliefs in order because tonight at nine, after the littles are sleeping, we are waking the dead.
Number two: all the sitters in the séance need to prepare questions to engage with the spirits during the séance.
I’ve left five lines for my family to come up with appropriate questions to ask our father, Frankie, or even the man we’ve killed. One of Ford’s lines should include forgiveness, but I’m not going to touch on that topic.
Number three: a person with experience conducting a séance is a better choice to welcome and invite the spirit to join the circle and ask questions.
Roxy’s going to be our medium in conducting the séance, so those who attend need to understand she’s no-nonsense when it comes to the spirit world.
Number four: the séance needs to be conducted in a quiet room with as few interruptions as possible.
Truthfully, I’m not even sure if a room like this exists with my family. But I have special notes for Yaya and Tommy to stay away from the casual dining room
Number five: set a round table with candles to help create a spiritual atmosphere.
This one has me stumped. It’s not like we have a round table. I left a note for Rye to find a round table ASAP. And that’s the gist of it for each of them to understand.
I’m jittery now, waiting for everyone to come downstairs, but I don’t have to wait long. Daisy enters first. She looks tired through her smile as she begins preparing breakfast. What are those?
she inquires, glancing at
