About this ebook

Sharing is not an option!

We tend to think of squirrels as cute furry creatures that scamper around playing while looking for nuts. Yet I’ve a different outlook on these rodents from Hades.

As an animal lover, one who’s owned by eight birds, I’ve had the opportunity to observe a group of squirrels around my home here in the suburbs for the past year. The experience I’ve gained gives a whole new meaning to the words ‘little darlings’.

I offer you a unique perspective of the furry friends entangled within our everyday lives. Their antics and shenanigans have earned them the name, the Squirrel Mafia. This book chronicles my ongoing battle with these pesky little critters.

This book is dedicated to the squirrels of my backyard.

Without them, it truly would not have been possible. Without their antics, there would have been no material to fill the pages of this book.

This is for the people of the world who have been brow-beaten by squirrels in their lives. I feel and live your pain on a regular basis, as these little demons still, to this day, torture me with their shenanigans all over my property.

    About The Author

    ACKNOWLEDGMENTS

To my close friend, Jina Hayes, who writes under the name of Rejine De Winter, you inspired me by giving me the title for this book. From day one when it left your lips, I knew this was the title those words would represent. Your encouragement and support has helped me with the process of writing down the stories that soon collectively formed this book. For that, I am truly grateful and very appreciative.

I want to thank my beta readers who read this book and enjoy it for what it was intended for, to laugh and feel my pain as it was delivered from the squirrels in my life.

To those who encouraged me, and there were quite a few, to keep up with this project once they learned the premises behind it.

To my husband, Ivan, who brought me to the squirrel reserve, as he called it, located in town. It was there that I was able to obtain the photos seen inside this book.

And last, but not least, my editor, Nancy, whose time and effort helped make the words shine bright.

    FOREWORD

When I first started writing this book, I’d been watching the squirrels on my land for about a year. Their antics and constant tomfoolery I have recorded to the point where I’ve had so many notes written down.

It soon came time for me to write a book about it. The world needs to know how cruel these animals really are. This book is meant to be read with enjoyment and hopefully a laugh or two.

Underneath it all, however, there is a war brewing between the squirrels and me.
