About this ebook

This is my third and last book and mostly I wrote it because I like the sound of a “Trilogy.” This, along with Forty Bad Poems and Sandy Sez, makes a trilogy. It includes some of my presentable poems and talks I have written over the past year or two. And in all probability, this book would not have happened without the pandemic. Having never lived through a pandemic I was confused as was everyone else. Everything in my life that was scheduled and planned for and hoped for was suddenly cancelled And when they talked about helping the elderly I realized that is ME! I hate that. I decided! I am going to write that third book and to hell with all the scare and anger and confusion. So, this is it. I am wrapping it up! And I hope you enjoy my lack of seriousness.

I am dedicating this book to our four children: Stephen Trey, Cheryl, and Robert— now grown, of course. They taught Herb and me more than we wanted to know about parenting. They graciously tolerated our busy professional lives, behaved reasonably well during their adolescence, made life extremely fun and unpredictable, and grew into responsible, loving, generous adults. Trey had his own mission in life but was never not part of the loop.
