Dysfunctional doesn’t even come close to describing the Davenports. Wild, crazy, and out of control comes to mind. Lucy - the mother of six kids likes to drink and have wild and crazy sex with…well, you’ll have to read to see. Yaya- the grandmother is the craziest of them all. Meet the Davenports

Yaya and Pops. Parents to Lucy Davenport - the mother of a brood of children. Yaya is not your typical sweet grandmother. She’s rich, but acts like she’s poor and finds creative way to make money. She loves colored wigs, black nail polish and bright red lipstick. She is one of the funnest characters either one of us has ever written.

Lucy - the messed up mother of the brood of Davenport’s. She lost her husband a year ago and it’s taken her this long to get her life back on track - at least she tries until she’s dealt another blow.

Ford - is the oldest of Lucy’s children. He’s in college, very smart, and handsome, but his downfall is his love for Daisy - the nanny, who has many secrets.

Gemma - She’s the sweet and innocent of all the clan.

Daisy - is the Nanny for the younger Davenport children. She’s a complete mess and has many different layers to her. You will enjoy getting to know her…them.

Chapter One

Ford

I’M GOING TO send those mother-fucking porn directors on a one-way ride out of here. 

I hold the binoculars to my eyes and twist the middle part to focus the lens at the guesthouse. I’m still half asleep from dragging my ass out of bed before five in the morning on a Sunday. It’s way fucking earlier than I want to be awake, but I don’t know Vinny and Roxy’s schedule. If they’re early risers, I’ll already be out of here, mission completed and giving these two a reason to pack their bags and get the fuck off our property. I’m the man of the house, and I take the position of protecting my family very seriously.

I’m hiding in the woods—maybe not the manliest thing to do. It’s pitch-black out here, and I’m glad my eyes have somewhat adjusted to the darkness because my only source of light are the lampposts at the front door. Damn Tommy for smashing all the LED lights last night during the party. Damn Tommy for a lot of things that happened last night, but at least Daisy fell asleep in my bed, and I woke up beside her.

I move the binoculars away enough to scrub my hands over my face. I can’t think of Tommy, Daisy, or Slutty Pepper right now.

When I put the binoculars back to my eyes, a body slams against my side. Are you ready? Erik crouches down beside me, setting a large blue plastic tub in front of us. 

I didn’t even hear him creep up. He’s either talented at being undetected, or I’m just that tired.

You got it? I ask my younger brother.

He nods, holding the flashlight upward in front of his face so I can see his smirking reflection. He’s enjoying this too much, and that will need to be addressed later.

It’s big enough that they’ll notice today?

He nods again and pats
