A Life an Experience the Inspiration
()
About this ebook
inspiration. Not being able to see what people could
see but accept it for what it is. I have been through
a lot in this life and world as I try to show it through
my poetry. So I hope that it will bring you much joy
and such peace. But I hope it brings you inspiration in
your life for the joy it can bring.
Benjamin Tatanka Dakota
My name is Benjamin Tatanka Dakota. My family is from Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. I was born 10th April 1979. I myself grew up in many places. But since I was young I felt I could see things differently but as I tried to understand them, I lost the magic. Till I got to a point when I was inspired by a simple child’s acceptance of the world. Do to simple acceptance of this great world I could see much more than I could have ever imagined.

The dolphin
The dolphin so beautiful and playful to see
As if in the ocean where it was meant to be
But people keep captive as to show as a pet
As it could be endangered as this is such a threat
Endangered because people seem to hunt and kill
But the sad thing is people do this on their own will
Damaging the balance of the life all around
As to upset the balance life would come down
The dolphin has intelligence that is so high
As if to communicate that it does try
As it understands more than we know
If we respect the balance then it would grow
A mammal as one but there are so many
If man keeps killing there will not be any
Then he will wonder where the beautiful dolphin went
As it was all for greed that the life he spent
Thank you
Thank you for the life I have shared
For all the people for whom I have cared
For all the things I have been affected
As through my actions they are respected
I give thanks for my mother who gave
For bringing me in to this world as though she was brave
But she passed before I got old
As forever in my heart her love is told
I give thanks to the people that was before
To give me a chance as to open a door
To make things greater with my actions so strong
As through my life as I hope it is long
When my life ends I am glad that I lived
As there are many a time that I did forgive
As I could not hold on to the pain but only the love
As if my spirit was to rise above
Before it is gone
Help us sustain before it is gone
As through your actions this can never be wrong
To help a species grow and thrive
As if you are a part that is the drive
Appreciate what you have before it disappears
As if it was gone then it may bring you to tears
So enjoy the time that it had
As when it is not there you may be sad
As when it is gone it can never come back
No matter how far you look to track
As if there were moments of which it had
For the precious memories that you are glad
But you can help conserve as to help the time be long
As if to combine as if to make it strong
So the time lasts as much as it can
For the beauty of it all of where it first began
My smile
My smile I have seems to be from ear to ear
As it brings out a passion that extinguishes fear
But people see and so do react
As if a peace they do so attract
A child did ask mommy why does he smile
As if from a distance that was more than a mile
I have seen her twice but she saw my heart
As if my smile was only a part
I have been through so much but my smile shines through
As if the sun through the sky so blue
As I cherish the moments that are the good
And forget the bad as if I could
My smile is created from the happiness it brings
As if together as if to cling
That makes my face with the expression that shines
As if over time it was a sign
My muse
My muse people think where does it come
As if it shines so bright like the morning sun
As if it radiates as through to inspire
As if from the notes played on a lyre
But my muse you see is the world around
As every moment the inspiration is found
As I see in ways as if in a different light
As if held together but never too tight
As if I meditate as there is no pressure
As I feel my inspiration as it is a treasure
But priceless as it comes on to me
I am glad for this what I see
My muse comes in a way that is so natural
As there maybe one there maybe several
But each as an individual but many combine
I am grateful for this gift that is so divine
Walking in the moonlight
Walking in the moonlight holding your hand
As the moment is special it feels so grand
By the lake as the light shines upon
As it flows so gracefully as if like a swan
Every step is beautiful with you
As with this moment I share this view
Your hand in mine as if joined by the heart
As I cherish the moment of when it did start
You can hear the trees as if they talk
As if they feel why we walk
As if they know the feeling that is of two
As you always know my love for you
The moonlight shines as if to guide
As there is no darkness that it could hide
Creating the path for us to walk
As such a
