If you’re reading this e-book, you very likely have used a Google product in the last hour of your life. And yet, AdWords is the highest earner for Google. What’s that all about?

    Google AdWords is both very simple and endlessly complex. In its most basic form, an advertising firm, a corporation, or a small business pays for a few lines of text called advertising copy (or simply just copy) to be displayed on the web. You have seen Google AdWords on your favorite fashion websites, sports websites, online stores, blogs, and even on Google itself.

    If you’ve ever seen these ads, you might have noticed that they’re based on your interests – or, at least, what you’ve been searching on the web. If you’ve been looking up light bulbs or lighting fixtures and then you find yourself on a home improvement blog, you might see ads in the bottom left or right corner for lamp warehouses, discount halogen bulbs, and longer-life incandescent bulbs for your home office.
