On Faith We Fly: Poetry by Nature

About this ebook
TO THIS, I BELIEVE THAT EVERY PERSON HAS THEIR OWN OASIS WITHIN THEMSELFS. SOMETIMES, WE JUST HAVE TO FIND IT. A PLACE THAT IS SO WAY OUT THERE, THAT SOMETIMES PEOPLE DONT WANT TO MAKE THAT JOURNEY, BCEAUSE IT IS EITHER TOO HARD TO GET TO, OR THEY DONT BELIEVE ITS WORTH THE EFFORT.
I HAVE ALWAYS BELIEVED IN THAT PLACE OF BEAUTY. WHERE THE PUREST WATERS ARE SURROUNDED BY SHADES OF GREEN AND WHERE THIS PLACE IS AS IMPORTANT TO EVERYONE ELSE, AS IT IS TO ME. WHERE THE UNDERGROUND RIVERS WITHIN US, RISE UP TO MEET THE TASKS AT HAND.
I HAVE SEEN THE WELL PAVED PATHS THAT HAVE LED TO PROMISED PALACES, BUT I WOULD RATHER TAKE THE WINDY DUNES OF THE SAND, TO MY AWAITING OASIS.

KENNY LORD
This is the fourth book of poetry by author Kenny Lord. He continues his path of writing poetry on everyday experiences, coupled with a strong sense of imagination and a touch of rhyme and rhythm, blended with musical script. Kenny is still a police officer with the Toronto Police Service and, after almost twenty-seven years, still loves serving the citizens of Toronto. Writing poetry remains one of his longtime passions, and he continues to attend book signing events to talk about his books. It has been a long journey for him since spending time as a young child in the Toronto Children's Aid as a crown ward and in foster homes, but he has always been grateful for good friends along the way and counts every blessing. His inspirations are his family and friends, and he gratefully acknowledges the Toronto Children's Aid Society and the Children's Aid Foundation in Toronto, Canada, for helping him to beat the odds, which has been the cause for his determination to smile. His poetry comes from the heart, and his life comes from people who care.

About the Author
Preface
One important thing that I have found in life is that sometimes you have to dig deep down inside yourself and find the encouragement and drive, so as to put your best foot forward and accomplish the things that you want in life. We can’t sit and wait for things to happen. They usually don’t. I have always had a drive to try and accomplish things on my own. For me, that came from proper guidance when I was younger. From my grandparents, George and Olive
