    Witness its Reawakening!

    Dear Diary

    Dear me!

    Open up dearest,

    Let it out!

Let the world finally see who you are!

Hard for me to open that door.

    The world is a mystery,

And we are caught up in its web.

The rest is for you to determine.

    Open me now!

    These Are My Letters

    Letters from the heart,

    Letters from the soul,

Are like words from the wind.

    Like a force of nature,

    They can blow.

    They can change

    The course of things;

    And reform the surface of land;

And mold the character of man.

    Dedication: To Mum and Dad

For the life you gave me.

For the words you fed me.

For the unconditional love and care,

    You showed me.

For the light you urged me to follow.

For the courage and determination you instilled in me.

For the dreams you encouraged me to have.

For the character, perseverance and righteousness,

You wanted to be my drive.

    For believing in me always.

    Even when I was weak,

    You uplifted my spirit.

    For the truth and knowledge,

You fought for me to have.

For the woman I have become,

    Now, today and tomorrow.

    For Mum and Dad.

    Henry and Marie-Charlotte ENONCHONG

    The Paradox of Humanity

    People go, come, and stay.

    Children are born, others die.

    Countries are conflicted, others reunite.

    Discoveries are made,

which either help or destroy humanity,

in one way or the other.

    When humanity takes a break,

    Crashes tend to lead.

    When duties are at hand,

    Money tends to flow.

    Diseases and famine,

    Terrorism and wars,

    Natural disasters,

Consume man and promote his destruction.

    Restless humanity!

    Stone cold and heart-broken;

from seeking decency in an attempt to breathe

Some of the freshness of life.

    Pitiful destiny humanity,

you who holds the key to greatness,

    the capacity for raising monuments,

    conquering giants,

    And healing the world.

    When I’m Gone

    When I’m gone,

    Remember me my child.

    When I’m gone,

I know you will love me.

    When I’m gone,

I will remember the times we shared,

The love and bond that we had.

I was there at the time of your conception.

I was there is see you walk and play.

I was there when you uttered your first words,

    That put the biggest smile to my face;

And made me laugh for joy,

For having a child so smart and meek.

I was there when you got hurt,

Fed you and assisted your mother in taking care of you.

I was there to see you grow my child,

Into the son, the daughter that I always wanted to have.

God gave me the strength and will power,

    To provide for you;

To help a great many people,

And to work for my country.

I have travelled far and near.

    I have crossed the oceans,

    And conquered all battles;

But my love and devotion for you,

    Was my greatest achievement.

    When I’m gone,

You my children, you my wife,

You my brother, you my sister, you my friend,

Should not fear the darkness of the night,

For I have protected you while I was alive,

And will always protect you when I’m gone.

    When I’m gone,

    You must not be sad.

    You will not be lonely;

    But mourn for my passing,

    So that the tears,

May appease your pain and sorrow.

I remember the times we shared together,

    The long talks and conversations,

    We had with one another;

And the joy and laughter we shared,

Through the rainy days and through the thunder.

My life has been a journey of ups and downs,

But my faith in the Lord kept me alive.

    When I’m gone,

    Remember this my child:

That having you in my life was the best gift,

That God could have offered me.

    Being with you,

    Watching you,

    Taking care of you,

Fighting for you and seeing you

    Grow into this lovely woman,

    This wonderful man,

    Was the most precious feeling,

I have experienced in my life.

    Providing and worrying about you,

Was the pleasure that I had.

    When I’m gone,

My enemies may laugh and cheer,

But do not worry my child,

For God has planned an end for us all.

I’m with him now because he opened his arms to me,

    And welcomed me into Paradise.

    When I’m gone,

I know you will represent me,

Do you part, for there your honor lies.

    When I’m gone,

    Strive to be happy.

    Be fruitful and multiply.

Contemplate every passing day go by,

And believe in the greatness of life.

    When I’m gone,

I know you will respect and honor your mother,

And love and protect each other.

    When I’m gone,

    Finish what you’ve started,

    The dreams and aspirations,

    You had of life,

    And the promise of success,

That I saw to be your drive.

    Be good and be great.

    Follow the Almighty’s sayings,

And may he guide you through life.

    When I’m gone,

The best comfort I will have,

    Is knowing that one day,

    I will once again reunite,

With my beloved family in Paradise.

Dedicated to all those who have lost a loving father.

    My Sweet Pie

    You’re sweet as honey,

    Soft as butter,

    Crusty as French baguette,

I’m ready to eat your body.

    You’re rough on the edges,

    Delicious in the middle,

    Tender when I bite.

I want to eat you like a pie,

    Wash you with champagne,

    And strawberries.

You’re the apple of my eye,

    The pie of my thigh.

Have me now on a plate,

    I’m ready to be eaten.

    The Policy of Life

In life there is a mechanism.

In life there is a game.

In life there are prospects and casualties.

Life is like a battle field,

    Where one policy reigns:

    Survival of the fittest!

    The master of the jungle,

    Is the owner of life,

    Devouring the weaker ones;

And the same cruel and competitive policy,

    Reigns with humans.

    But time will tell,

    Who did succeed?

    Who resisted more?

    Acquiring the strength,

    From some unknown force.

    The policy will always reign,

And life will forever be the same.

    Survival of the fittest!
