Privileged Grace: The Ultimate Stop!

About this ebook
When we reach this point, we do not have the need to fight or hurt one another, thus, tolerance, compassion, acceptance, and hopefully, earthly peace.
In my book Privileged Grace, previously published as Walking with the Vain Cattle in 2009, I shared through the best truth I knew, my deepest thoughts, emotions, pains, challenges, dreams, gradual healing, evolution, insights, and triumphs which led me to my light.
Of course, each of us will have different quests and battles to reach happiness and peace.
Mine were mainly dealing with the conformity, banality, mendacity, and evil of our world, such as war, corruption, slander, manipulation, abuse, etc., and to top it, my own ego.
This might explain the choice of the previous books title.
Simply, this was the diary of my spiritual journey, and I know that this odyssey is still at its beginning.
But as any other book, movie, or a piece of theatre, it either brings you laughter and tears, guidance, awareness, realizations, smiles, messages, inspiration, etc., or it doesnt.
It is up to you to see it from any point of view you please or simply view its points, and then you can still distort it, if you wish!
Thank you for reading me, and hope this book brings you insights and answers, which might help you define and reach your inner light and peace.
God bless.

I am Amal Islim. Name means: the Right Hope. I am an author, poetess, songwriter, psychologist, consultant and above all an explorer. At the age of 17, I departed my home in Jordan, moved to Germany, then England, then Canada, then the United States, then Switzerland, now in Spain, and God knows where life will take me tomorrow. But as all these explorations did not satisfy my soul, I started to look into the beyond to find a greater meaning, the absolute, therefore, left all for a spiritual journey and wrote this book to document it.

Synopsis
My main message is if we fight our own demons, learn to forgive and love ourselves, do and attract the good; then we can reach our inner peace, where all other blessings stem from.
When we reach this point, we do not have the need to fight or hurt one another, thus, tolerance, compassion, acceptance, and hopefully, earthly peace.

Review
Privileged Grace is based on contradictions and oppositions, and these two qualities permeate the text in many respects.
It is Sui Generis: spirited, esoteric, full of anguish and genuine.
Its authenticity lies in its driven-ness, particularly the distress and agony that speak from it.
The tone of a spiritual drama
reflects its concerns. It is visionary, confessional, triumphant, and obsessed with introspection, ultimately cosmic in its aspirations.
Privileged Grace, previously published as Walking with the Vain Cattle in 2009, is a journey that takes the traveller from states of extreme dejection to moments of ecstatic bliss. And while ever and again it seems as if the journey itself were the goal, it appears equally obvious that many times the ultimate goal is nothing less than the mystical union with the absolute.

I WOULD LIKE TO DEDICATE THIS BOOK TO THE LOVING MEMORY OF MY FRIEND SAMER. W. BAKRI AND ALL THOSE ON THEIR JOURNEY TO THE LIGHT!
image002.jpgHeavenly Way! / Dedication Poem
I can still hear your laughter in my wake,
And can still feel us move and dance.
You put my heart at stake,
From the first glance!
Those golden eyes—
Hearts, they did break.
Lovers didn’t stand a chance.
You were a divine friend,
And a true brother
Not like any other.
So kind!
Yet, gracefully you pranced.
How I grieved you, you know that!
I wept till the constant trance.
I thought my sorrow would never die,
And why advance?
The ache now is waving goodbye,
As I dreamt of you in Zion enhanced.
For all the joy you gave to the world,
With an open heart without a why—
Escorted by a jubilant light,
Shied even the south of France
When with you, my world was complete,
In any land
We crossed bridges, traditions and seas,
Trust in hand.
Live today as if there is no tomorrow,
We used to say.
Come to us life, come what may!
We played, laughed, shared and loved—
Yet the sudden arrow of death was lanced.
Oh romantics, how we suffer!
We need the perfect and the forever.
God loves you so took you young—
Where the first best song was sung
Then gifted you the ultimate key,
But can you still laugh and see?!
Who will call my name now and make it home?
Lonely without you my destiny is.
Who will praise with me a storm?!
And see life as an amusing quiz!
Who will lose themselves with me and roam?
And around a fire drink a thing with a fizz.
But worry not, my friend,
This is sadness not my end.
My heart with faith will someday mend.
As the soul of the rose in its perfume is,
In its radiance and glow
And the soul of a man in his love is,
Because in his eyes it shows
And God in heavens with his angels is,
Some things we just know.
And you are now a celestial star—
And it is so.
Keep a place for me by your side,
O, will you?
As I believe in a paradise where you reside
And by their rules you still don’t abide.
When my time has truly come,
Will you meet me at God’s gate?
We still have a heaven’s ride,
With angels again we’ll celebrate.
And if life will beat me to become old and grey—
Smiling wisely, yet raddled and frayed,
Know that I am waiting for the day
To live by you,
Within the heavenly laughter,
Your heavenly way!
I ALSO WOULD LIKE TO EXPRESS MY ENORMOUS GRATITUDE TO MY LIGHT WORKERS, ASCENDANT MASTERS, WORLD AND EARTH ANGELS THAT CARRIED ME THROUGH WHEN I THOUGHT I WAS ALONE!
THANK YOU, ABUNDANTLY!

DARKNESS
Chapter 1
THE WISH
Upon the secrets of the Caribbean Sea,
Under the most ancient tree,
I stood tall, in subdued melancholy—
Feeling that the arms of the world are not large enough,
Either to hold me or retain my grief
I gazed at the evasive shimmer of the fair red moon,
As I listened to its hesitant echo in the luminous black waters
Embraced by that mystic presence
I knew it was time—
Time to wish:
For happiness to come reaching and caring
And for my eyes to encompass and dare its marvellous sight
Still, my emotions have the immensity to endure its supreme, pure blessings.
But, alas, my banished heart,
Surfing every wave that was destined to crash upon the rocks!
O, Goddess Aphrodite—
With your legendary smile of joy!
Will you show me that world you’re smiling at?
What is that thing you know that has eluded me?
What is that magnificence you see and I can’t?
Will you teach me how to compose, sing, and roam the tango dance?
Will your light pierce my horrific dungeons haunted by shadow play?
Just to get me through this infinite day!
Will you at least give me a reason to endure my war against my freedom of strife?
That incessant quest for peace, profound delight and adoration
I arose alone from the clapping crowd,
Celebrating New Year’s Eve of 2003—
Leaving that long table filled with empty dishes and tasteless inspiration.
At that moment, I had to
