About this ebook

Treasures is a work that attempts to convey its message in an unorthodox manner. Not allowing himself to be limited in any way, the writer has delved into each topic using every contemporary material around him and yet laying out his work in a classic fashion. The writer employed various styles of writing: meter and rhyme. He injected the local materials like neva and even dared to invent words, such as adolicity. Treasures is made more profound by the liberality that it enjoys from the writer. Treasures is rendered in many forms, and each has its uniqueness. Though occasionally secular, it has deeper root in spirituality. Mysteries, adventures, love, endurance, hope, and lots more characterize the work.

Babalola Ibisola

Victor adeniyi Babalola Ibisola (VABI) is a health professional with vested interests in medical entrepreneurship, medical research, and healthcare management and leadership. He obtained his MBChB from Olabisi Onabanjo University College of Health Science, Sagamu, and postgraduate diploma in management from the Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna. He developed interests in writing while he was in secondary school as a member of the press club. Though born into a Christian home, his early life was filled with paganism, and the style and theme of his writing was to be significantly influenced after he gave his life to Jesus Christ. He won the award of the best writer in the preclinical school (2003). He is the MD/CEO of VABI Multipurpose Ventures. He sees himself as a tool in the hands of God and his writings as means of inspiration to his creation. Some of his friends like to call him Shakespeare because of his classic way of writing.

In Treasures, we learn to observe landmarks in life, through people, occasions and experiences. These are landmarks that help us to discover God and our purpose. The invisible attributes of God being clearly understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that no man will have any excuse.

It’s a recommended reading; straight to the point, yet full of nourishment.

    ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

My gratitude and immense appreciation is firstly to the Almighty God for his gift and calling that are without repentance. For putting this gift in me long before I knew him, and bringing it to the fore when I most needs it.

My brethren, Original Life Tabernacle, Ijebu-Ode. Bro Joshua and Bro Sonday. Bro David (Prof.), Bro Solomon (Sagacity). Bro Yomi Okus, Bro Steven White and Bro Tony Anthony. Sister Bisi Adelodun and Sister Faith, you all are my first family in the Body of Christ.

My siblings, Sis. Funmi, Bro Yomi (Bay), Bro Segun (Expo), Motun, Tope, and Kunle, Mum and Dad, albeit rough were those days, I still relish in those moments of bravery, endurance and laughter that we all shared. You guys love me unconditionally, and I have carelessly and deliberately taken you all for granted, knowing that I can never be wrong with you guys.

Drs Banjo Ogunjimi, Wale Bakare, Debo Adelodun. The LXG Guys: Drew Adeyemi, Attai Ochai, Dayo Aroyewun, Tunde Oluwole, Ayo Raheem, and Muyide Oduye (LXG Guys). Mary Onasanya, my ‘adopted’ sister in Med school.

My editors, Dr Bike Orekoya, Bohbup, Ayokunle Adeleye, Bro Alfred Iwerebor, and Mr Chuma Okoye, thank you all for every suggestion and thorough review of the book.

Finally, to my best friend, Folashade thank you for your patience and understandings.
