About this ebook

A Dream Realized is a collection of poetry that has been written based on experiences in my life and topics that I have strong feelings about. Included are a variety of genres that are written in such a manner so that the poems can be personally relatable.

At the beginning of this writing journey, there have been certain individuals that have shaped and impacted my style of writing. I am able to express a wide range of emotions in A Dream Realized due to these important and positive relationships. In this collection, the intent is for at least one poem to ring with realism to a situation that one might have encountered on their walk through this life.

The ultimate goal of A Dream Realized is to share my words with the world and if only one person is touched by what I share, then I will have achieved what I set out to do. Poetry is my release when confronted with obstacles in my life whether they are pleasant or not. A Dream Realized is the product of this emotional release.

    A Dream Realized

When I first began to write I was in elementary school. I knew that I was smart but at the time I just loved to write. But as I grew older, I recognized my skillful writing could be used to help me or make others smile. So I kept writing for myself and at the request of others. Anytime that I put pen to paper, I wrote about whatever I may have been going through in my life at the time.

My inspiration was just about anything. If somebody hurt my feelings, I wrote about it. If I was happy, I jotted my feelings down. When I first toyed with the idea of writing a book, I never pursued it because I felt like no one wanted to read my words. Yet, as
