To My Generation

About this ebook
After coming close to losing something, we often tend to appreciate it a little more than we did before. The value of one's life is probably the most often taken for granted. However the value of God is the most PRECIOUS thing taken for granted. You see, life is a gift from God which makes it that more special than the breaths we take. Yet we often seem to spit in God's face with our back stabbing decisions to hurt our bodies and turn from him. However, despite whatever we are going through the only thing we can do is live life and trust in God. I wrote this book to express the value of both. I write to express the importance of things often unaddressed, to inform without lecturing, and to hopefully reach someone when my words are all they need to hear. With life situations and God being the overall theme of this book, the poems are relatable to almost any generation. Yes the direct audience is indeed my generation, the young teens of the world today, but I write to speak to everyone.

C'Yana is a teen striving to make her family proud. While fighting against the pain of life, she's found joy in music, sports medicine and writing. She has been a student athletic trainer at her school for three consecutive years and also volunteers at USC's Physical Therapy Clinic. When she enters college, she plans to major in kinesiology. Her love for music has been a connection to her writing. It has given her different subjects and themes, as well as views on life situations. Like others in her generation, C'Yana has had somewhat of a problematic life and found answers in the wrong things. Eventually, she realized how much God was there for her. She then felt it was her duty to tell her story and the world's story too; to speak the words that others were to afraid to say. She wants to let you know that whatever you're into, whatever you've done, and wherever you're going, God is still with you and He's looking out for you.C'Yana writes about a wide range of subjects; ranging from family, struggles as a teen, life problems and more. Her main goal in life now is to serve her Father God and whiledoing so, touch the World!

Poetry is considered a form of communication-language. God, the creator of all things, thought it necessary to allow such a style of writing to be written in the Bible. Solomon, former King of Israel, the wisest man of his age, wrote many poems in the book of Proverbs. These writings are geared towards inspiration, motivation, and even challenging the reader for change in ones mindset.
I find it such a delight, and with great joy to introduce to you an anointed, yet talented, wise young lady, Miss. C’Yana ….
When I began to hear her recite her poems she truly captivated my heart, as I know it will yours.
C’Yana has a desire to speak to others directly through her writings so that they will be inspired, encouraged and changed by not only her own life experiences, but by Divine revelation of the Spirit of God.
In 2012, C’Yana was asked to recite one of her poems at a women’s conference. She did not want to share one that was already written. I joined her by the pool-side at the hotel the evening before her presentation. While I sat and enjoyed the serenity of beautiful Palm Desert, she spent time listening to the voice of God to give her what He would have
