About this ebook

People wonder what the future holds for them; they would no doubt like to know for certain. But is it possible? It may be, but how desperate are you to know? Are you willing to risk being deceived just to believe in something you just want to hear and believe?

Many wonder whether there really is a way of finding out. Will you regret your choice in putting your complete confidence in someone who claims they have all the answers? Will they be correct? Or will you suffer disappointment or beyond. It has been said that no one but Almighty God knows the future for anyone. Are you willing to seek his way for answers, or will you choose another way, a way that has been known to bring sorrow and counterfeit results--a way that has a reputation to continually fail, such as turning to a psychic?

    Praising A Psychic

Are psychics of Satan? of course, who else would invent such foolishness other than the prince of darkness himself? If not Satan then who?

Many times I have sat in front of my television and became bored with the present program. So like anyone else I’d reach for the remote and start to turn the channels. As I would constantly flip through it never failed for me to at least twice come across a psychic program.

One evening my brother and his family came over for dinner. Later, after a few card games we all decided to watch television. As usual we came across another psychic program. Out of curiosity we all agreed to tune in and as we heard participants testify to amazing stories and give high praises to their psychic I became more and more disappointed.

Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord Psalm 150:6 (KJV)

From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the Lord’s name is to be praised Psalm 113:3 (KJV)

The host then began to give introduction and boast about a certain individual known as a Master Psychic or should I say Mistress Psychic because the crowd cheered in anxiety to meet her.

She was described as a god-gifted psychic, an idol of some sort to be worshipped by mankind.

As we continued watching the program we off and on looked at each other laughing and carrying on jokingly. The psychic approached the panel with honor and glory from all the souls that had been fooled. There in front of her sat an entire audience deceived by this misleading. The applause and credit she gained just in a matter of minutes was out of this world. It was quite ridiculous (I thought) how the crowd went wild after a free sample of psychic reading was offered to one of them. A woman possibly in her late twenties to early thirties was selected for the experiment. After she stepped upon the panel. The psychic grabbed her by the hand assisting her to a table arranged for two sitting her right across face to face from her. As she attempted to play God she claimed she could sense a wonderful, rare and awesome future soon to explode into this woman’s life. I can see you living a very long time, the psychic said. You are going to grow old with the husband you are about to come in contact with,

The woman became shaky with excitement desperately anxious for her to continue. She sat there practically unable to sit still as though she were receiving chills and goose bumps up and down her spine all at once.

The psychic actually deceived this woman to believe, she would exist on this planet for a very long time when we should know if we don’t already for certain, that tomorrow is promised to no one. So how could this possibly be possible? How could a psychic predict and promise for anyone to live a long time when God can call you away at any unexpected moment? No doubt, it is a dangerous fact for a psychic believer to be persuaded of such a definite promise, for that individual will certainly look forward to existing many years on the earth and might even attempt to prepare for a future of so many generations. Consider the parable of the rich fool found in Luke 12:16-20 (NIV) where the rich man states I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store all my grain and goods. And I’ll say to myself you have plenty of good things laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry. But God said to him, You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Allow me to paraphrase. This very night you die.

Only God decides if you’ve been on this earth long enough and certainly not man. The next minute remains unpromised let alone the following day.

After the psychic guranteed the woman many years in life she reacted as if the psychic was her Lord, as if there was none greater. It is beyond ignorance for anyone to even consider wanting to believe anything such as this. The Bible says we are not to be ignorant 1 Corinthians 12:1(NIV). Be wise and discerning there’s a major difference between the two.

Place your trust in no man and nothing but God only who will never leave you nor will he forsake Hebrews 13:5 (KJV). But obviously, this woman as well as others did not think so. They preferred to give praises to a psychic whom they did not know but refused to give glory to God whom is worthy of all praise, whose known each and every one of them before they were even conceived. It was he who made you who formed you in the womb Isaiah 44:2(NIV) and not a psychic who claims he knows all about you as if he did. How can anyone open up too and place their total trust in a stranger? There are just some things we shouldn’t let go of unless we keep it between God and ourselves only, everyone else is to remain in the dark, we are to take it to the grave. But in this we can be confident that we never carried it alone. God shared the problem and was even willing to take it on his own. There are many that knows of God but depends on a psychic anyway and by option its no obligation. People seem to have a problem with the invisible king so they turn to lesser gods which they can feel, hear and see.

A psychic will tell you exactly what they think or know you want to hear because we are living in a give me gimme gimme society. Never what you might need to hear in fear of losing great business. Advertisers will totally persuade listeners to believe in them (psychics) and never encourage them to consider other solutions such as prayer just in case their predictions may fail. Psychics want to be depended on entirely as though there is no one else in comparison to turn too, as if no one else cares or qualifies to do what they’ve always been known to do best.

The psychic then smiled at the woman as if for certain she’s gained another client. The woman then asked with joy, I’m presently having financial difficulties, do you see any improvement pertaining to that? Now that this was mentioned of course the psychic knew to go along with it. The psychic gave a slick slight grin as the audience sat quietly waiting and watching for an expected response to leave her lips.

Oh yes, she replied excitedly. I can see a great opportunity. You are unhappy, dissatisfied with your present income but don’t worry for I see a great promotion awaiting you in about two no more than three months. I am also picking up you’ve been involved in a relationship that did not succeed no matter what you tried to save it. The woman could not believe her ears, her facial expression revealed That is so right. Worry no further, the psychic swore. There is another mate in the near future. He will be very handsome a bodybuilding type, along with owning several businesses. And I have a surprise for you, you just might be dumping your upcoming promotion before you get it as well as your job because he will have more money than you and him both will know what to do with, but you will surely have fun in helping him to spend it. I see you owning a six-car garage in your home overlooking the beach, constantly feasting at a seafood mainly lobster buffet among celebrities that are friends of his some whom he even work with. I see you entering right now into a half a block closet of an elegant wardrobe designed by the finest in the world. Your honeymoon will take place right in the mid of holidays and right now I’m seeing you ordering an expensive Christmas tree from a popular foreign place.

The woman then hugged the psychic with tears of joy rolling down her cheeks. She lifted her name in praise as she cheerfully returned to her seat. I shook my head as if they all should be ashamed of themselves and at the same time I’m wondering what’s going through the mind of the father as he watches I reckon with anger from heaven.

Just seconds after that experiment, she (the host) called on to a few others for a free quick reading as well. The psychic amazed many with the deception gift Satan’s given her. She performed just long enough to bring in a quantity of more customers. The psychic and host behaved as partners, sisters or best friends. They seemed so happy as they talked to each other, of course, this meant huge profits in the near future. The audience praised the psychic as if she were a miracle after witnessing her predicting the first woman called would live many years, the not so far away promotion she was bound to receive, and the rich popular
