Lisa Chambers

Lisa Chambers was born in Dexter Missouri to an impoverished family as the youngest of eleven children. In the first few years of her life, her family earned a living by working in the cotton and bean fields in the southeast corner of Missouri. When she was three years old, she relocated with her family to Arkansas. She has lived in the same small-town area of Arkansas ever since, and she now shares it with her husband of twenty-nine years. This is her first published book. Lisa has four children and five grandchildren. She has always loved writing, and in addition to her longer work, she keeps many poems and songs in her private collection. She is a devout Christian, a licensed minister, and a licensed practical nurse. Lisa wishes to give God all the glory and thanks for the wonderful direction in which he seems to be taking her as she steps into the new role of author. She hopes many people read and enjoy her book, but more than that, she hopes that her book might in some way help someone, bringing them to a closer walk with the Lord Jesus Christ.

    PROLOGUE

    Thoughts and Reflections

W hat is out there? What exists in that other world called the afterlife, rather the after this life? The world of existence that is on a different plain from the one we live on. Is it another universe, another dimension, or another plain of reality? What is it exactly that occasionally, but seemingly on a regular basis spills over into this reality and causes us to experience what we call the paranormal? Is it Angels, Demons, Spirits, or Ghosts of those passed on; or is it just our own imagination? Does our mind, our own psyche, bring these things and experiences into existence; or is it just our mind trying to make sense of things we have seen, heard, or experienced in the past? Are we imagining, matrixing, or just exaggerating to make life more interesting? These are questions that anyone who has had a paranormal experience has asked themselves, I’m sure. But what is the answer? There are many beliefs, explanations, and theories that exist; but what is the real answer for those of us who have actually experience something that we cannot explain? Oh believe me, for anyone who has had a paranormal experience there are places to turn to for so called answers. So many out there think they know, and think they can help. Some may turn to a Psychic, some to a Shaman, others to paranormal investigators. But, ultimately and most of the time, people end up turning to God. Which by the way, I believe is the only place any of us can turn for the real truth, the only real solution to anything we encounter in this life. This is something I want to make clear before I journey any further into this true account of mine and my families experiences. I am a devout Christian; yes that is right I proclaim the salvation of Jesus Christ, that he was crucified for my sins, and in three days he was raised from the dead by God our Father. I believe he then ascended up to Heaven to sit at the right hand of God to make intercession for us on a daily basis, and is sitting there at this very moment doing just that. When it comes right down to it, this friend is the only real truth. The book of Mark chapters 15 and 16 in the Holy Bible gives a good account of this. For anyone interested in reading it, I strongly encourage you to do so, for it has the power to change your life forever. But now back to the question at hand. What is out there? Just a minute ago I mention some possibilities. Angels? The Bible speaks of Angels pretty much from cover to cover, and since the Bible is the infallible true word of God then we know that Angels surely do exist. But the Bible also speaks of Demons. "And they came over unto the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes. And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit, Who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains: Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him. And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones. But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him, And cried with a loud voice, and said, what have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not. For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit. And he asked him, what is thy name? And he answered, saying, my name is Legion: for we are many. And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country. Now there was there nigh unto the mountains a great herd of swine feeding. And all the devils besought him, saying; Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them. And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand ;) and were choked in the sea ." (Mark 5: 1-13 King James Version). The Bible speaks of Spirits, God is a Spirit (John 4:24 KJV) also in (Luke 34:29 KJV) Jesus makes mention of a Spirit not having flesh and bone as he had. It also makes mention of Ghosts in multiple passages, even referring to the act of dyeing as giving up the Ghost. Now, I do not claim to have all the answers to these questions that I ask. I do, however, strongly encourage anyone reading this to pick up the Holy Bible and do some research of your own.

Whatever your belief or stance is on this subject the fact is most likely, thousands of people have paranormal experiences every day. We may try to explain them away, give these experiences names like hallucination, imagination, vision, or dreams. We want to say things like well maybe I was just asleep and dreaming or maybe I’m just over tired, fatigued, imagining things. But the truth is, even when we say these things we know deep down, we were wide awake, we did see what we thought we saw, heard what we thought we heard. The question here is do we want to ignore it or explore it? I personally have pushed mine and my family’s experiences to the back of my mind and ignored them for many years. I kept them sitting in the closet gathering dust, dragging them out every once in a while to give someone a good scare or just a bit of interesting conversation. But now, at this point in my life, I have decided it’s time to pull them out of storage, give them a good dust off, explore and share them with the world out there. You see, I believe that everything in this life happens to us for a reason. I believe nothing comes to us or crosses our path by chance or accident. I believe every experience we have in life, whether good or bad, can be used
