About this ebook
Doug D.
I have been a bachelor my entire life and I have been a very observant dater through the years. This experience qualifies me for the life advice that I offer. I am self taught in the culinary field and I have twice appeared on a regional culinary TV show in the Albany NY area. In the spring of 2011, I moved to South Florida and I feel this has affected my life and my work more than I ever thought it would. Since moving to Florida my book has become a reality and I am in the best physical shape of my life. I am convinced that the healthy lifestyle of Florida is responsible for the positive changes in my life.

EVERYMANS COOKBOOK FOR LIFE
9781452561110_TXT.pdfWelcome to the world of cooking. I say that because if you are reading this book then you’re obviously not a master chef. In fact you’re not a chef at all. If you consider yourself to be a gourmet chef then please put this book down right now! This was not meant for you.
Okay, you’re still with me? Now we can begin. I decided to write this book because I feel there are a lot of men out there who have the misconception that making good food has to be complicated and include ingredients that you’ve never heard of. Nothing ticks me off more than watching a culinary show where the chef will include seven or eight ingredients that are either from some exotic rainforest or traded for on a Cherokee Indian reservation. Either way, I’ve never heard of them and they certainly can’t be found at the local grocery store or deli. All of my recipes are easy to follow. Easy even for the most Clueless In the Kitchen guys. From here forward you will notice me referencing you quite often as CIK guys; pronounced sick.
Another reason I’m writing this book is I feel I have something more to offer all you CIK guys out there. To fully understand what that something is I think you should know a little about my background. I am forty one years old. I have been a bachelor my whole life. I have also been blessed by a combination of my parent’s good genes and the ability to know when a woman is feeling my vibe. All of these genetic blessings have helped me date some beautiful women. Granted some of them weren’t so beautiful on the inside, and that could be the explanation as to why I’m still a bachelor. Either way my self-taught cooking style has helped me in all of my relationships.
2011-08-11%20001%20024_300.jpgIf you take the time to plan and cook a meal for a date, the rewards will be more than you imagined. In fact if you follow my recipes for the food and life you might just find yourself in a magical place that all CIK guys want to be; the breakfast for two.
If you’re starting to wonder why should I listen to this guy? Or how do I know if he is being truthful about his dating history? Both valid questions… My response comes in the form of testimonials from some of the lovely ladies in my life. If these aren’t enough consider this little tidbit. I was born on June 30, 1969, think about that for a minute. I was born exactly in the middle of the year 1969. I have been aware of this fact since I was a little boy.
I was no more than 5 years old when my mom was explaining to me all of the marriage traditions and the fact that some of our neighbors had been married for 25 to 35 years. Not only had they been married that long, but they had been living in the same home with the same job for an entire lifetime. It was at this moment when I believe God spoke to me for the first of three times. It hit me like a ton of bricks! I thought to myself, that a life where all of your career, lifestyle and family decisions are made by the age of 18 is a life that’s not worth living. It
