Foreword
We all dream – even if we don’t remember them. As children. In our teens. As we grow older. And even when we are grandparents. Dreaming is a doorway. A doorway to a special place filled with everything you could ever imagine…and even more. Dreaming is a doorway to accepting that this moment is perfect and the next moment can be amazing also. Dreaming is a doorway to happiness when we have been sad…to celebrations when we have been sitting alone…to miracles and second chances when we have made mistakes. In our dreams rests the most amazing things we could ever do, see, feel, and experience if we were not held down by gravity, or science, or by the boundaries of being on planet Earth.
When we dream, we connect to magic, excitement, new worlds, new games to play, and new experiences. We open our eyes wider than we ever could and see farther than we ever thought possible; we run faster than we ever imagined; we jump higher than we ever could; and we even fly sometimes…lifting off beyond the world as we know it.
Dreams contain new possibilities in every moment. One minute we could be sitting in a chair reading a book and the next breath we are riding rainbows and counting past infinity!! And that’s because, when we dream, we open our hearts to anything that can be…anything…and everything.
When we dream, we reach beyond the length of our arms…way past our fingertips into rooms we’ve never entered, oceans we have never swam in, and people in countries we’ve never visited. We connect with nature at a deeper level bonding with animals, and trees, and clouds, and rays of sunshine. And we open our selves to happiness, to joy, to creativity, and to countless opportunities to express what’s in our heart.
In Dream Clouds, my dear friend Rosalinda Weel gifts us a blank canvas and seven stories of the heart. She helps us get into our pajamas, put on our dreaming caps and then paint whatever moves us in the moment. She transports us into the world of the sweet dreamer where we meet fairies, balloons, a trampoline, rainbows, a dolphin, a magician, a flower queen, a talking seagull and even a beautiful clown fish who all encourage us to reach for the stars and try the untested. Dream Clouds gives us the power to trust our dreams, and the wisdom to know that when the dream unfolds, we are in a better place – stronger, bigger, wiser, happier, and more fulfilled.
Dream Clouds gently encourages children to take the wonderful journey to the
