Chosen as a vessel, gifted by God’s grace, inspired by the Holy Spirit to write. This is the first step although I have been writing since my youth. My daughter, son, grandchildren, brother, sister and mother all reside in Texas. My home is just outside of San Antonio in a country setting known as Von Ormy. Being a retired nurse was not part of God’s plan as a new path to seminary has begun. THERE ARE MANY TO WHOM I owe a debt of thanks. Those who have listened and prayed that God would open a door as I continued to write and wonder. I have written some form of poetry or prose since junior high school. Some will say that it was selfishly hidden away and perhaps, it was, caring not to challenge the prospect of rejection. Now in my sixty-seventh year it is time to share that which God has inspired. It is an act of selfishness if His word is not shared in any form.

While most of us use the word because to describe some type of emotion the underlying truth is that the answer is not really expected. It is a moment- one left to interpretation, open-ended and often given without reservation. God, however, loves and comforts and cares without guidelines. There are no protocols or boundaries- it
