    About The Author

This book is dedicated to my loving and supportive parents Floyd Vickers and Gwendolyn Williams. Thank you for the solid Christian foundation and tender guidance. I love you both!

    Acknowledgements

My Lord, My God, and Holy Spirit thank you for directing, encouraging, and equipping me with the ability to write the concerns of your people onto paper along with your Holy words of promises that cannot return void. Heavenly Father, I thank you for using me as a vessel to convey hope to your people.

There are so many people who have guided me through this journey of completing this book and I am thankful how God has strategically placed them in my life to nourish and encourage me. I thank God for giving me wonderful parents that provided me with a strong foundation in the Lord. Love you dad and mom (Floyd Vickers and Gwendolyn Williams) you did an awesome job as parents. My loving husband and Pastor, Joseph Harris I love you and I thank God for given me a Godly man. My children LaMar and LaMonique you are a blessing from God and He has a great work for you both. Thank you both for providing insight on the things that young people go through. I would like to thank Zimmerrette Williams my friend, my sister, my role model, and my prayer warrior who encouraged me to finish writing the book. She would say to me Sis Harris you need to finish writing that book, so it can bless people. I love you Sis and thank you for the words of encouragement and the reminders to be about God’s business. In addition, I would like to thank my dear friend Dr. Patricia Fasano who encouraged me through many storms of life and always offered words of encouragement that I can do all things through Christ and to never quit and to always finish what I start. I thank God for putting such a strong courageous woman in my life to keep me focus on the prize of the high calling; love you my sister-my friend. Furthermore, I thank all the people who entered my office, called me on the phone, or stopped me in passing to ask for prayer and to talk about a situation. Without the assistance of people who shared their concerns, not all the words in this book would exist. Thank you for sharing your concerns and I pray this book blesses you in the Lord and provide hope that only God can give.

The purpose of writing Express Mail: Words of Encouragement is to provide hope and encouragement in God for all people in various situations and problems. As a high school guidance counselor, I found myself listening to the concerns of students and staff members and I concluded that hurting individuals needed more than textbook guidance and theory. Hurting people need the assurance that God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit will guide, provide, protect, comfort, and fight their battles. Therefore, the Lord put in my heart to write daily about problems and situations that occurred in the work place, school, home, and churches that were solution focused through God’s mighty words of promises. Therefore, I begin writing with urgency on whatever paper I had at my desk, which was blank envelopes, the problems, solutions, and prayers that would help and encourage people. I pray Express Mail: Words of Encouragement blesses all that read this book.

    EXPRESS MAIL:

    BE ENCOURAGED

    I WILL NOT

I will not be discouraged, because God is my rock, my shield, my salvation, my high tower, my refuge, my savior, and I will trust God for my every need. (Isaiah 41:10).

I will not fear, because God has not given me the spirit of fear, but power, love and a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7)

I will not allow the Spirit of worry to enter into my thoughts, but I will pray without ceasing, because I know the prayers of the righteous produces great power and results. Also, I know the eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right, and His ears are open to my prayers (James 5:16b; 1 Peter :12)

I will not do evil for evil when people come against me, because vengeance is the Lord and He will repay. I also know that no weapon formed against me will prosper and that I will not be envious of evil doers, because God will cut them down like grass.(1 Peter 3:9; Romans 12:19; Isaiah 54:17; Psalm 37: 1-2)

I will not be deceived in my walk as a true believer, because I know the great enemy, the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour, but I will put on the whole armor of God to strengthen me, so that I can defeat the enemy at his ploys ( I Peter 5:8-9; Ephesians 6:10-18).

I will not allow anger to take residence in my mind or body, because the word of Gods says be angry and sin not and do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, for anger gives a foothold to the devil. (Ephesians 4:26-27).

I will not have low self-esteem or think of myself as unworthy, because I am a child of a royal priesthood and God has created me beautifully and has purpose for my life and I know I am the head and not the tail (1 Peter 2:9; Psalm 139:14-17; Jeremiah 29:11 Deuteronomy 28:13).

I will not be defeated, because I am more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus and No weapon that is formed against me shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against me in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD. (Romans 8:37; Isaiah 54:17)

I will not quit, because I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me (Philippians 4:16).

I will not accept that I am a curse, because I am blessed coming in and going out and no one can curse what God has
