Emotional Blackmaile Ii: Sugar Slave
()
About this ebook
Tackling the pain of deceit and betrayal, while strengthening the determination to understand and overcome our personal shortcomings, this volume vicariously offers spiritual, intellectual and sensual reflections of the emotional dilemmas that animate our lives and enrich the human experience.
Inspired by an unwavering conviction to explore the complexities of the human condition, and driven by a burning desire to dispel the turmoil of guilt and shame, Sugar Slave follows on from Lovechild and represents the ongoing quest for an empathic companion in a world governed by fear, greed and the clamoring din of our competitive egos.
Ricardo Alexander Modesté
Intellectual rebel, spiritual provocateur and sensual philosopher, R. A. Modesté is an enigma of contradictions that converge into cleverly crafted expressions. Exploring the complexities of the human condition he draws his lyrical essence from a spring of ethnic diversity to reveal the naked ape residing behind our veiled modern civilities.

I f we had the good fortune of meeting in my previous work, Lovechild, then I must sincerely thank you for your continued support. If this is our first encounter, then I am particularly looking forward to making your acquaintance. For what else is life about other than making connections and forming relationships? Indeed the very fabric of our universe, the heavens, is an infinite display of intricate, interconnected webs.
As we travel life’s webby path, it is difficult to deny that experience is, by far, our most qualified teacher. While this is true, what is equally undeniable is that a vivid imagination makes for a wise companion. As the old wisdom states: we are judged by the company that we keep.
Like most people, I accept that karma is a constant feature abiding throughout our Human Experience. What I find to be most ironic about this phenomenon, however, is not just the oblivious manner in which we fall prey to our own crimes, but the judgment that we unwittingly pass upon ourselves as we blindly change roles between victim and perpetrator. It should follow, then, that if knowledge gives rise to authority then understanding offers the ability to influence and here lies the true measure of power.
It is with the experience and knowledge of my own Karma, and through the enrichment of my imagination and understanding, that I humbly come before you again.
Have mercy.
