A Haiku to Start

What is it your fear?

He exhales in the mirror,

My own potential.

Part 1: Pain

The goal isn’t to be understood, but acknowledged. Acknowledged as a friend, a son, a brother, a human.

Parental Paths

To cause pain and misery,

To feel the pain and suffer the misery.

Or understand the two sides,

And choose to do neither?

To live life inflicting the infection of my internal negativity on others,

To internalize the negativity and let it destroy me.

Or acknowledge the negativity,

And change it?

To attempt to destroy the lives of those around me,

To try and contain the destruction while making excuses for it.

Or build those around me up,

And prevent either from occurring?

To follow the lead of my examples,

Or to carve my own path?

Little Big Brother

Behind a facade of egotism,

I crave your attention.

I need you,

And it hurts that you don't need me.

The stronger brother isn't me,

It is you.

Entering this world with a bang.

And living everyday like the firework you are.

A God-sent angel you are.
