    The Gate

I am the door. If anyone enters by Me he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief does not come except to steal, kill and to destroy. I have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly. John 10:9-10 NKJ

Yes, I am the gate. Those who come in through Me will be saved. They will come and go freely and will find good pastures. The thief’s purpose is to steal, kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life. John 10:9-10 NLT

Jesus is talking here about His purpose and satan’s (the thief) purpose for our lives. God loves us. He is not mad at us, that is why, when Jesus was born, the angel of the Lord said, peace, goodwill toward men. Peace between God and man. There is quite a difference between Jesus’ purpose and satan’s purpose. The thief comes to steal kill and destroy. Jesus came to give abundant life. God sets the record straight here. This is very clear. You would need help not to understand it.

God does not give us cancer to teach us a lesson or to punish us. Satan is the one who deals out sickness, disease, accidents, and disasters, but God always gets the blame. We call the beautiful things of this earth Mother Nature’s handiwork and call a flood an act of God. We have had it all wrong, satan is the one who steals, kills and destroys. God created a beautiful world without sickness or disease. When Adam and Eve bowed their knee to satan in the Garden of Eden by listening to his lies, they gave up their authority. They had to leave the garden because God didn’t want them to eat from the tree of life. Eating from the tree of life would have caused them to live forever without any way to get back their authority. They would have been subject to fear, guilt, condemnation, all kinds of bondage and strongholds, sickness and disease for eternity. This was not God’s plan. He wanted us to live for eternity with Him in this paradise on earth. God created man and woman because He wanted someone to show His love to. But Adam and Eve wanted to do what they wanted to do. Sound familiar?

Jesus came to earth to get back our authority. He had never sinned, but He died and took the punishment for ALL our sin. He went into hell as a sinless man, to get back the keys to the Kingdom. When He ascended back to heaven He gave believers the keys. We now can have authority over fear
