7 Astronauts
The Columbia space shuttle
Exploded in air and crashed
In Texas over many miles,
Debris filled the countryside.
An educated group of seven
Were excited to see new horizons
And what may exist among
The stars.
They were never afraid to go.
They wanted to see what lies ahead.
Can there be life anywhere else
And what can we learn from our data?
I am so proud of those 7
Who made strives in their lives
And gave a sophisticated look
At the gains we should make in the future.
I am proud and thankful for you
Rick, Kalpana, William, David, Laurel,
Michael and IIan. We pray for you
Every day.
