I Want to Make It
Short Prayer
What Matters
I WANT TO MAKE IT

There, my home, the only place I’ve known,
The only people I’ve known . . .
My father, my mother, sisters, brothers,
Grandparents, and my dearest friends.
Why?, I ask myself . . .
Because I love me.

To see more, do more, and make them proud.

A colorful place of exposure,
An atmosphere of hope,
And a bright future,
God’s promises.
I want those promises;
That’s my drive.
My parents lived for me;
It’s my turn to live for them.
My turn to give back.
I’m going to make it . . . here
In the beautiful valley of Boulder, Colorado!
SHORT PRAYER
Now I wake to face the day.
Lord, to you I humbly pray.
If I should tire before I finish,
Allow my weakness to
