Irreplaceable Man and His Thoughts - Mandla Kunene

MY LAST LESS CONVERSATION WITH BEST FRIEND

    Ring! Ring!

    The telephone call

    I greeted the other side

    He answered and continued

My friend I’m fed up now

But today I’m ending the suffering

There’ll be no thirst and stress

    In my destiny

    I was quizzical and misunderstood

    Then I said

Can you wait for a moment

    I’ll be there right now

    Then the dropping tone

    Few minutes later

    Ring ring

    The telephone call again

Picked up and greeted the other side

Oh! It was the other side of the coin

My friend had ended his own life

    That was my last conversation

    With my best friend

May your soul rest in peace
