About this ebook
This work is a sample of the authors mindset at different times, at different places and in response to different situations. It is a journey through moments of laughter and sadness, of peace and chaos, of love and of dishonest hate, which though not coherently collected, samples an adequate and interesting exodus that captivates you all way long.
G.I. Okpara
The author is Nigerian born, with a burning desire for literature and love for beauty, nature, quiet, music and innocence; a Lawyer by profession, an inquirer by default and a philanthropist by aspiration. His desire for writing developed from early childhood and has been sustained by an interesting world around him.

My Odyssey - G.I. Okpara
Rachael
Is this Rachael
The one I use to know
When I was yet a player
And strong enough to satisfy
You hear from Rachael
The insatiable dog
That you cherished and never loved
You know why, though
Is my cherished yet worn?
Not goodly featured and brief
Is she yet handsomely cheated?
And not attractive and wane
Rachael is yet adrift
And has remained abriefed
Nature has robbed me beautifully
And I am yet wane
Is Rachael yet uncherished?
Does she still mourn my exit?
Is she yet a singled?
Or has she found a sweetheart
Rachael will never be uncherished
I have mourned your exit
I have a goodly featured man
Though not sure of his love.

26118.jpgBeauty
I saw a golden dawn
And heaven came down
I saw a hilly green
And beauty was mean
The sun was blue
And the wind blew
The field was gold
And evil on hold
Sparkles! Beauty was sparkles
Beauty, beautiful sparkles
Serenity blossomed
And beauty summed
The birds flew high
And never came nigh
Bird songs cried
As the sun smiled
Young flowers danced
And beauty glanced
Then I thought
After I stopped.

26116.jpgMoments
Each moment I spend
Each second that ticks away
Each minute I count
Each hour that goes by
Each day that rolls past
Puts thoughts in my mind
Thoughts about her
Her beauty and innocence
Her fragility and chastity
Each parted lips I see
Each set of teeth revealed
Each smiling face at sight
Each sound of laughter heard
Each happy face expressed
Puts thoughts in my mind
Thoughts of whatever to do
To make her lips part in smiles
And make her face glow in laughter
And happiness all the time
Each happy moment I share
Each good time had
Each interesting period got
Each great opportunity seized
Each wonderful season met
Puts thoughts in my mind
The desire to be with her
To share each happy moment
To make every season interesting
And all her days wonderful
But the closer I came to draw
The farer from me she goes
Each moment of lonely thoughts
Seems moments of endless wallow
Each thought-filled day that rolls out
Becomes seasons of heavy hearts
Each face asmiling seen, any
What endless dreams of fantasy
My eyes are now too full
My heart weighs more than ever
My brain can’t think no more
My mind has no more to reason
Without her in my arms
My hands and feet had trembled
And now that I have got her
I would she knows how special she is.

26114.jpgDeath
Oh dreadful scorn
With which we are scorned
This blatant woe
To which we are foes
Thou art vain
Rude and of no gain
The pinnacle of vanity
Vanity in its entirety
You are the faintest
To which nature detest
For you are hopeless
Just making man helpless
26112.jpgLoneliness
I had lost my direction, for sure
But that was only the beginning
I thought I had my full company
But, of course that was the least
A thousand people in front of me
And ten thousand behind
A multitude by my right
