Full Circle: Love, Hope, and Healing Poems

About this ebook
War-stricken countries, illness, injustice, a broken heart: there is no way to escape human suffering, whether it is on the news in a faraway country or in our own community and lives.
Full Circle: Love, Hope, and Healing Poems is the debut poetry collection of Winifred Roemer-Sabajo. This collection describes the simple joys and struggles of life, as well as transcendent experiences, dreamscapes, and journeys. From the wisdom and struggle of indigenous tribes and refugees to the cycle of karma and rebirth, from a young, blossoming love to the kind glance of the neighborhood goose. This poetry book has stories and experiences of love in all its beauty and forms, hope in times of pain and fear, and healing where you thought you could never find it.
When we realize we are all connected through our joy- through our suffering- humanity will come full circle. May this book inspire your heart, nourish your soul, and help you reconnect.
Winifred Roemer-Sabajo
Winifred Roemer-Sabajo was born in 1956 in Paramaribo, Suriname (South America). She grew up as a mixed-race girl in a humble environment with her foster parents and their family. The suffering and injustice of humans have always deeply touched her heart, so she decided to study law in the Netherlands. She received her law degree in 1984. She moved back to Suriname in 1998 and developed her legal career, involving communication with different tribes, cultures, and their quests for justice. She represented her home country in international humanitarian and legal issues, such as human trafficking, safeguarding old land mines, international crime prevention strategies, and domestic violence against women. These experiences, as well as her own challenges and triumphs, were the inspiration for this collection of poems. Winifred believes that understanding each other through conversation is the best way of healing the turmoil in the world today. My own life story, spiritual practice, as well as the stories of injustice of those who do not have a voice, are what give me the inspiration to keep serving humanity. I am convinced that poetry will give me the entrance to do so.
