Reflections on the Eternal Lover - Christina Carpenter

    PROLOGUE

    SEPERATION

Lives with no purpose, no direction, meaningless

We had a price to pay

A noose hanging over our heads

    We didn’t even know it.

    For every wrong we committed

It was ready to take our breath away

Paying the price because of our sins.

No one was right, no one good enough

    Though we pretended to be

Pleaded and acted, but fooled no one.

    No one pleased God

    Not till Grace came

    When Jesus paid it all,

    Shed his blood

No longer do we need to lie or die

Separated from hope and eternal life.

Now we can turn to the light,

    To the cross

Accept the love of Jesus Christ

Given by our father God, for us all

No one can be against us

Now, his only son is for us

He took our sin, our guilt, and our condemnation

    So that we are one

    In purpose and in journey

    No longer
