    FOREWORD

I was never very good at writing poetry. I would have those assignments in school to write a poem about something and I never knew exactly how to fix it. Whatever I had written certainly was not poetry!!

Poetry-it can evoke many emotions and thoughts from the author as well as the hearer. God can use poetry in our lives to convict and to bring glory to Himself. I have the privilege of knowing this particular poet and I know that her desire is to bring the reader closer to God.

Karon has been writing poetry for many years. She has written poems daily for the 15 or so years that I have know her. She shares them with the congregation on a regular basis. It is because of the encouragement of one her dearest friends that she is publishing these for others to enjoy.

The ability that she has to put words on paper is truly a gift from God and Karon would be the first to tell you that He is the One to get the glory. I would like to say thank you, Karon, for sharing your gift with the rest of us. Her wish, and mine, is that you are able to focus on the Creator as you read these wonderful poems. God bless you.
