I have been writing poems for 40 years and have now decided to put them to print. Traveled around europe, africa and the caribbian, worked as a gravedigger, also on construction sites, as a labourer in factories, as a salesman, as a director and as an unemployed person. I live in England, maried with two children, my motivation comes from hopeing that what ever I write someone somewhere will like it.

WELLCOME TO MY SHELF
The ins and outs, the ups and downs,
Feelings, frustrations, laughter and frowns,
An opinion on life, with its sadness and tears,
Along with hope, strength, passion and fears,
Sex, love, greed and pain,
Feel them once, and then feel them again.

1 = WAR
Many left their homes.
Some forever,
Some did return,
Some that did, suffered appalling injuries,
But many, many more died,
Many were buried with unknown friends, in unmarked holes,
Along with the French, German, Dutch and Poles,
Mostly young, healthy fit men, who were full of fun,
What have these leaders done?
Life sent on the pretence, to protect,
Life ended, surrounded by neglect,
Rules were laid down, then broken at will,
Torn from god, be killed or kill,
We sit at home and get news each day,
Many more dead, should be over soon, they say,
Millions killed without care or attention,
Millions of loved ones, who get no mention,
Young humans given hope, and told they are brave,
Their time on earth, spent in a grave,
In our leaders we believe,
While out there millions grieve,
We sit at home and get the news each day,
Troops will be home soon, perhaps in May.
2 = YOUTH
Led, fed, and fucked in the head,
Bagged, shagged and tagged,
Cannot cope, no dope, no hope,
Futureless, jobless, hopeless,
No control, on the dole, no goal,
Rejected, not respected, been neglected,
The society leads them, and then the government bleeds them,
Without the help of clues, they learn to adapt the rules,
High passions spread, because compassion is dead,
A life spent on the dole, a poison out of control,
Help as been suspended, all dreams ended,
Now their children must suffer too,
Waiting for the elected, to change their view.
3 = LOVE
The first rays of light, waved goodbye to the night,
And as the birds leave their trees,
And the squirrels skip through the dew,
My first thought is of you.
Where are you, why did you leave?
I have an idea, but I just don’t know,
You seemed happy and content,
Then out of the blue you went.
Now the darkness is bidding goodbye to the light
Today as been another fight,
Maybe tomorrow some answers I will find
Maybe tomorrow will be more kind.
The first rays of the light, said goodbye to the night
The birds leave their trees,
