My name is Donna Santarsiero- Ritch. I was born in Greenwich, Ct. I attended Stamford Catholic High School and graduated from Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School. I have 3 grown children, David, Guy and Bonnie and two Beautiful Granddaughters, Scarlett and Juliette. I work as a Nanny and I live in Fairfield, Ct. I enjoy reading, listening to music and writing my poems. I feel a strong connection to the voice of the Universe and to the messages that it gives me through my poetry.

A BETTER PLACE

FOR JILL

I’m in a better place you know, Please let me leave, I have to go. This place I’m in is free of pain. I promise I’ll be back again. I’ll be in every thought you think, toast to me when you have a drink. I was here, I did my best. I was here, I passed the test. I’m going on to a better place, free from the chaos and the rat race. Where I can live with love and grace and never feel my life was a waste. I’ve loved, I’ve lost, I’ve laughed, I’ve cried. Dear ones, please don’t cry. If you could see this better place, it would put a smile on your face and you would let me rest in peace and my spirit you would release. Don’t hold me here by your grief. Time will pass and you’ll feel relief. I know my stay was very brief. But I’ll go on forever. I think that death is very clever, it’s not the end, but the beginning of all our endeavours.
