to hurt the way i did

to feel worthless

to have problems

to have only fantasies of escape

to know no pleasure

to feel deep hate

to be nothing

terrors lie in the attic of my home

untouched by man in almost a decade

a child cries there

spirits of the past reside there

and forgotten memories go there to rest

it's never seen the light of day

it watches and taunts in the night

it screams of pain

agnostic cries to the moon
