    The Many Personalities of Me

    Stranger in the mirror

She stares herself up and down in the mirror

As if she doesn’t recognize the person staring back.

    The person on the other side;

    A stranger.

One who has stolen her life

    Taken her happiness .

Her eyes move up and down

Examining every inch of her reflection.

While looking at the stranger in the mirror

    Her mind flashes back

    To who she is now

And who she used to be

    ––––––––

    Her scars tell a story

    One of pain

    One of sadness

    One of confusion

If only she could turn back time

    To the days she knew
