Passion in Poetry: Whispers from the Soul
()
About this ebook
From start to finish, Nandita writes with verve and spirit. In her unique poetic prose, she weaves together mind, body and soul in a superlative manner. Sometimes sharp and poignant, sometimes subtle and searching, Nandita is always pleasurable to read, thought-provoking, and often inspirational. Many have already been blessed by her writings, and now many more will receive the same in her offerings here, in her first book publication. Read slowly, read carefully, and enjoy. - Jonathan Noble (American poet, essayist, cultural critic, and social service volunteer)
Reading Nanditas work is a pleasure for any reader. In her repertoire, built over time and expanded through the constant flow of ink from her willing pen, is something for everyone. Not only do her poems reflect her interests, emotions and experiences, but her active and creative imagination conjures up such scenes and settings for her poetic expressions that make reading her an interactive experience. There is always a layer of meaning hidden beneath the surface of her poems, that the reader may find if they can. But even if they do not, each piece of work is complete in itself and carries with it a wealth of meaning and enjoyment. No poet is complete without empathy, and Nandita has this in spades, using it most effectively while spinning a tale from her versatile mind that surprises us with its depth, even while holding us up above the chasms. She is a shining example of perseverance in the pursuit of that which she loves most; to write poetry, doing this with a smile, a ready dose of wit, an excellent sense of humour and no small amount of talent. - Priyanka Ruth Prim (poet, literary research scholar/critic, India)
Nandita isnt just a poetess. She is the embodiment of poetry. With nothing but a pen and her vivid inner life, she expresses on the page what would ordinarily be inexpressible. She has a habit of conjuring words and phrases that voice what we are all feeling or hope to feel. She commits to the process of unveiling her heart and her great love for people so that all can see and share. Find yourself in her words and be mesmerized by her ability to be your voice for the unwritten poetry in you. There are no half measures here. To read Nandita is to know her. Truly, she is - as her pen name says - Manan Unleashed! - Tony Single (cartoonist, poet, vagabond soul, Australia)

Acknowledgements
No artist is complete without a Muse. No art can be started and perfected without inspiration. Many people have helped me in ways known and unknown in bringing my first book on poetry to fruition. From the bottom of my grateful heart, I would like to begin by thanking my Muse of Poetry for making a poet out of me. My sweetest love and priceless gift Amanya, my immediate family (Ama, Ajoy, Namrata, Prashant) whose love is the greatest blessing in my life. And my entire family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and nieces who make up my world of love and trust.
Bestie Rhema Sereng, soul sis Jashoda Chettri, Madhushree Chatterjee, Swati Pal, Sangeeta Aggarwal for being with me through thick and thin. Aashish Gurung, Anuja Tyagi, Pema (Pem Quirk), Naresh Singh, Devashish Sriwal, Raj Chettri, Neelam Gurung, Zubair Agloria, Selina Lepcha, En Christina for being some of my earliest readers and all my Dead Poets Society members for all encouragement.
Manjit Saikia has been an important part in this soul searching journey, introducing me to blog world and thereby opening up a bright new window to a world I have always belonged to but was unable to find my way. I will always remain grateful to you for that. Thank you also for letting me use your breathtaking images.
Wonderful fellow poets and kindred souls who mean a lot to me: Dave Meriwether, Jonathan Noble, Joseph Parent, Kyrsia Korsak, Priyanka Ruth, Rosemarie Gonzales, Tony Single for all the love you have for me which you show everyday. You are my Serenading Seven! Special shout-out to Jonathan and Tony.
Friends Andrew, Antony, Aruna, Charlie, Dori, Kunal, Matthew, Melinda, Ryan from the blog world who have now left their marks some way or the other in my heart. I’m in your corner and you are all in my circle.
Many thanks to all my loving readers on WordPress.
FT Ledrew, my partnering poet, my Lord of the Pen in my writing world. Thank you Thomas, for taking the pain (with a smile) of reading everything I have ever written (over 450 poems and prose pieces and still counting) to help me come up with my manuscript and for proofreading, editing and for simply being what you are to me. I couldn’t have asked for a better poet to do the honours. Thank you for adorning my soul work with bits of your own in the form of your beautiful words and fabulous images. You are the dawn to my dusk, the light to my dark, the stanzas to my lines and all the sacred interludes. Beginning with the preordained ‘loves typos’, every single ‘phase’ has been a journey of ‘divine friendship’ where the ‘sands of time’ saw us ‘borrowing dawn’, enthralled by our ‘chat with raindrops’ while the jealous sky watched the artist being ‘caught out loud’ in his praise of the muse.
