Over the course of those years, I have developed my own unique style from the critiquing of friends, family, and teachers...view moreI have been writing poems since the begging of middle school ten years ago. Over the course of those years, I have developed my own unique style from the critiquing of friends, family, and teachers. Though my style of poetry is different, I value the rule "To understand a poem, you must read it three times to get the full meaning." A quote given to me by a college professor whose class I had attended over the summer in my high school years. A course in which my twin sister and I were constantly trying to outdo the other. I currently live in Columbia, Missouri, which in itself is referred to as a college town. There is a park not far from where I live. I visit it every now and again to watch the turtles pop their heads out of the water as my mind flows creative thoughts and pieces them creatively together into verses. I sometimes like to pretend that I'm sitting there talking to my favorite poetess, Emily Bronte. Her amazing work has inspired me in so many ways that I am hoping to return the favor to my readers.
