Lenore G. DangerField

Lenore G. Dangerfield is married with three wonderful children.  A southern girl at heart, she was born in Louisiana and came to California at the age of two.  Educated through the Oakland Public Schools, with some college background.  A fifty three year old ordinary, everyday working woman, blessed with the amazing ability to create life on paper.  Through just mere words she is able to bring comfort to those mourning the loss of a loved one.  Through just mere words she is able to brighten the day of a lost soul. and through just mere words she is able to put and smile on your face and a tingle in your heart.  Such extraordinary talent.  Her poems adorn the shelves of many of her family and friends homes.  Praise, laughter and a few tears.  It's all right here and It's Simply Life.

    Dedication

    To My Father Willie Glover

You spread your wings and flew away

Though you were never far from my heart

I love you daddy and I knew it was time

For you to make a brand new start

So I dedicate this book to you

If only you were here to see

How I inspire others with just mere words

I know you’d be proud of me

    Acknowledgements

First and foremost I would like to thank God for giving me the ability to express my words to the world. If I can change or shed light on just one person’s life, I have accomplished the ultimate.

I wish to express my appreciation to my family, friends and co-workers. With special thanks to Marie, who have probably read every poem that I have ever written. She gives me good feedback. I would also like to thank Hazel, Bonita and Rita, my girls for giving me support. My Fremont High School Reunion Committee, (Mike, Mark, Fred and Wiley) u guys have been a great inspiration in my life. A special thanks to my friend for believing that I could do anything, I love u. Alice, Lorean and Tony, I don’t know what I’d do if I didn’t have u all in my life. A big thank u to my Alta Bates Laboratory family, Mythra, Sharise, Digna, Grace, Chintu, Leke, Irma, Arlene, Vicki, Sandy, LaMonica, Diann, Jennifer, Bill, Rene, Sy, Felicia, Sheila, Mildred, Roz, Raja, Deana, Demetrio, Shane, Jackie and Adam. Thanks to my other Alta Bates co-workers throughout the hospital with special thanks to Sam Wellington.

I leave my family for last because there is so much I want to thank them for. My mother Martha, I love u so much, thank u for giving me life, I’ve learned so much from u. My sisters Dianne and Desnie for keeping me grounded, keeping me in check and encouraging me to follow my dreams. Thanks to my niece Kimberly and nephews DeAnte, Kevin, Vern (Tasha and Hasson) and Little Cliff, I love u all. Thank u to my brother in-law Clifton for being like a true brother to me. Thank u Tony for being a true family friend. To my other in-laws, Darryl, Darlene and family, Ruthie and family, Calvin and family, Barbara and the rest of the family, I thank u. My best girl Yolanda, you’re the greatest. To Denese and all of my other cousins, which are too many to name, thank u for your support. Thank u to my younger children Aleah and Rianie for believing in Mommy. My oldest son Hollis, I could not have done any of this without u. U believed in me to. Thank u for all of the help you’ve given me, especially teaching me all of the neat things u can do with the computer. I love u and Corina, and last but not least I thank my husband Ken for putting up with me. I know it was slow going at first because u didn’t believe in me, but, now u see the light, at least I think u do (ha ha) love u.

To anyone I may have missed by name this is for u, thank you.
