About this ebook

How Much Willful Sin is a Part of Your Christian Testimony?

Christians sending the wrong message to the world is a warning to all who profess to being Christians. Their actions speak volumes about their relationship with God. Satan and the world that he controls has made many Christians a part of his battle plan against God. What you say and more importantly what you do, demonstrates to the world the identity of your true master. As Christians, we are supposed to represent God and our Lord Jesus Christ to the world. Living in peace with the world has caused many of us to become collaborators with the world in unholy activities. In the book of Romans chapter 12 verse18, the bible gives some general guidance on how we are to conduct ourselves. It states, If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. The problem with this guidance is that people have gone way beyond religious tolerance and accepting ungodly behavior. Christians have forgotten the most important part to understanding what this scripture really means. The scripture Hebrews 12:14 sheds light on the application of the scripture in Romans 12:18. It states, Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: Certainly we must try to live in peace with the world but at what cost? Christians cannot forsake living holy to have peace with the world. When we do, the world is watching and judging us as one of them. The question then becomes, whom do you serve? Do you serve God only in words and serve his enemy in actions and deeds? This is your Christian testimony to the world. It shows the world that you care more about living in peace with it than you do about living holy and obeying God. This book addresses the practice and acceptance of willful sin.

William Derrick Moore

Dr. William Derrick Moore author of "Christians Sending the Wrong Message to the World", brings another message to God's people in the struggle against evil. Dr. Moore provides insight and illuminates the need for Christians everywhere to be available for God to use as vessels to bring blessings to others. It is essnetial for all Christians to be aware of  the distractions and demonic activity that hinders us from being a blessing to others. "Not everyone is equipped to deal with demonic beings or evil" says Dr. Moore, but we should all know when and how to get help once we have identified it as such. Moore continues to bring difficult if not troubling topics for Christians to examine. "If we do not constantly examine ourselves and keep God's ways and values as our light in the darkness, we will surely go in the wrong direction. All Christians must be able to identify the evil that exists within us and the evil that exists outside of us."

    About the Author

    DEDICATION

This book is dedicated to my grandmother, Aggie McCoy. It is through her life of faithful prayer and devotion to living a sanctified life for Christ that I am able to bring this book to the saints of God. As a child of five I remember her spending time explaining to me who and what God is. She prophesied that I would someday be used by God to bring him praise and glory. My grandmother is no longer with us but is with the Lord. The same spirit of God that she told me would never leave or forsake me is the force behind the message of this book. Thank you grandma for being the vessel that God used to bring the light to me. It is my greatest desire that my light will shine half as bright as yours.

    PREFACE

The world is listening and more importantly watching what you say and do as a representative of Jesus Christ. The way that you live your life is the best example and testimony of what a Christian should be. The example that the world sees in many cases is contrary to the teachings of Christ. The message that some Christians are sending to the world is that we too are willfully engaged in sin and rebellion against God. When we as created beings take the position that we do not care how God sees something, we live in spiritual darkness. Many people including Christians are living in a false reality and forget that they are God’s creation. If humans beings looked and acted like robots, it would remind them of their place in the order of creation. But God created humans in his own image. God gave his creation free will and the ability to reject him. This freedom is often misused. Because humans do not acknowledge God, they believe that they have the authority to change the morals and values of society without consequences. God is and always has been the only true moral lawgiver. His standards are so far above what our finite minds can comprehend, it makes what we try to do on our own almost meaningless. Since he has already set the standards for living, to willfully not live up to them puts us in direct conflict with him. In fact, what we are saying and more importantly doing is willfully disobeying him. In this situation how God views something becomes irrelevant. Since God is a sovereign being and the creator of the universe, changing and not following the laws that he has ordained is sin. When we as Christians do this intentionally, this is willful sin. Our Christian testimonies are characterized by the way we live. This is the only evidence that the God that we serve has a better, more meaningful way of life for us. As non-believers interact with Christians and see that there is little or no difference in the way that we live, it is not surprising that they do not want join and become one of us. Because there is a spiritual war going on, we must decide to live in spiritual darkness or in the light of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. When a Christian makes a conscious decision to do what he knows is wrong, this is willful sin.

    INTRODUCTION

As we mature in our Christian life, we must never lose sight of the fact that we are created beings that have been given a lot of freedom. This freedom includes the ability to say no to our creator. When we decide to say no or resist our creator, in essence we are saying to him, we don’t care how you see or feel about our actions. The ability to make this kind of choice comes with a lot of responsibility. The consequences for actions under these circumstances can be enormous. The contents of this book serve as a reminder that your testimony by the way you live your life not only impacts you but also causes
