About this ebook

This book gives insight about the knowledge that God provides to man in the Holy Bible. God wants man to have this knowledge for his own benefit and well-being. God wants man to be equipped with this knowledge so that mans regrets in life can be minimized and so that man can know and experience a more fulfilled life on earth and experience an eternity in heaven. God wants man to know the things that he is against, the things he considers sin, and the things he is against are destructive to our lives and to the lives of others. God wants man to know that he has an enemy named Satan and that Satans only purpose is to destroy. He also wants us to know that we have an advocate, our attorney in heaven, named Jesus Christ, who wants to provide each and every person eternal salvation and a mansion alongside the throne of God.

    Foreword

The God who created man, this earth, the universe, and everything in it has provided us with a wonderful book, The Holy Bible. The Holy Bible allows us to have a better understanding of the mysteries of God, it provides man with the knowledge that is beneficial for him and the things which are harmful and destructive to him, and it provides us with insight into the wisdom of God.

This book, written by man as inspired by God (2nd Tim. 3:16 & 17), has been preserved by the faithful servants of God throughout the centuries. I believe that God used these faithful servants to preserve His Word, the Scriptures, so that all could have and know the things God intended for man to know and to apply during their individual lives.

Nothing contained in the Holy Bible is going to hurt you; everything in it is intended, by God, to benefit you, to guide you, and to know the love our Creator has for you.

All scriptures utilized in this book are from the King James Version.

    Introduction

And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book. But these are written so that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing ye might have life through His name. (John 20:30–31 KJV)

The apostle John explains to us in the above biblical verses that Jesus did much more in His short life on this earth than the things that are documented in the Holy Bible. John goes on to explain that the things written in the Bible are documented for the benefit of mankind, such as:

    (1) Jesus was (is) a real person who existed on this earth and that still exists in heaven.

    (2) Jesus was (is) the only begotten Son of God.

    (3) Jesus performed many miracles and wonders during His earthly lifetime.

    (4) Jesus is the true Messiah, or Savior.

    (5) Only those who place their faith and trust in Jesus Christ as Savior can know and experience eternal life with God.

God has provided man with the Holy Bible to give him moral, ethical, and spiritual guidance. The Holy Bible is essentially a guidebook given to man by God, and this guidebook provides man with information as to how God expects man to conduct himself during his earthly life. It gives us information on what things benefit us and what things are harmful and destructive to our lives. God’s guidebook for man provides us with seven basics:

    (1) Information regarding our purpose for living, which is to serve and to honor God,

    (2) Information on how we are expected to conduct ourselves and behave,

    (3) Reminders that there are consequences for our earthly actions and decisions—rewards for obedience and judgment for disobedience,

    (4) A means of developing a relationship with our Creator and to communicate with Him,

    (5) Reminders that we have an enemy named Satan, and that his only purpose is destroy as many as he can,

    (6) Information that we have an eternal, loving advocate named Jesus Christ, who wants to provide us with eternal life, eternal blessings, eternal contentment, and eternal peace, and

    (7) Guidance to know the hidden mysteries of God and the Holy Bible.

Much wisdom can be gained from reading the Bible, and applying the things that you learn from it will provide you with a fulfilling and meaningful life. More wisdom can be gained from the Bible than you will gain from a lifetime of experiences. You will probably encounter fewer regrets by following the wisdom God gives you than by following the desires of your flesh, your mind, the world, and Satan. Additionally, the comfort God provides through His wisdom, love, and guidance is beyond the capability of man to explain, understand, and comprehend. Even as the world around us drowns us in problems, chaos, and situations created by man, God provides us with the ability not to fear the unknowns of the future and the problems and situations we all encounter in this journey called life.

God knows the things that keep people separated from Him.

But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost. In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. (2nd Cor. 4:3–4)

These verses inform us that the gospel (good news of Jesus Christ) is hidden from those who are influenced (spiritually blinded) by the god (little "g" god) of this world—Satan. The lost and unbelievers are so controlled and manipulated by Satan that Satan effectively blinds them and keeps them from accepting the truths God wants to provide man through the scriptures, the Holy Bible. Nonbelievers, atheists, and agnostics are being blinded from the truths of God by Satan, and these individuals aren’t even aware of the influence Satan is having on them.

The secret things belong unto the Lord our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law. (Deut. 29:29)

God reveals things to man in the scriptures that He wants man to know. Although the scriptures may not tell us everything that man desires to know, they do provide us with the wisdom and knowledge from which man will benefit. God knows that man’s ability to understand is limited, and man cannot comprehend everything that an all-knowing, all-powerful God comprehends.

Also, understand that God gives man the free will to make choices and decisions in life, and to make the choice of either accepting or rejecting Him. As such, the choices we make are our personal responsibility, and therefore we can’t blame God if we make poor choices and reject Him. Every one of us will be judged sometime by God for the decisions we’ve made on this earth. Accepting, trusting, and believing in Jesus Christ as your Savior results in a reward of spending eternity in heaven; rejecting Christ results in eternal condemnation and spending eternity in a place of great suffering. That choice must be made while we’re still breathing the breath that God lends us; while we are still alive physically.

He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad. (Matt. 12:30)

He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. (John 3:18)

Failing to make a choice to accept Christ as Savior is, in Jesus’s eyes, the same as rejecting Him as Savior. If you fail to make a choice to accept Christ as your Savior, it results in the same meaning as rejecting Him.

Nothing in the Holy Bible is going to hurt you, but it will convict you of your shortcomings. The things written in the Bible are intended to help you, guide you, benefit you, give you wisdom and direction, and provide a path of fellowship with the most powerful being in the universe who is available to you twenty-four seven. The scriptures will convince you that a loving, caring God exists, and they will convince your heart into accepting and acknowledging Jesus Christ as your Redeemer.

If you fail to accept this gracious gift of eternal salvation from God, then at your judgment, what will you tell Him?
