Kamilah Dozier

Kamilah Dozier began writing short stories at six years old. A youth ministry worker and former special education teacher, Kamilah's passion for children and for those with entangled hearts has always informed her life and writing. Having experienced both childhood trauma and the freedom born from the pain and honesty of healing and growth in God, one of her deepest drives is to see others set free from their prisons of fear and shame so that they may experience the lives they were born to live.. Having spent so much of her youth hiding and afraid, Kamilah's writing celebrates the beauty and humor of life while encouraging the soul toward inspiration and truth. Kamilah has written, directed and produced several full length plays as well as countless short musical and dance productions for different youth groups throughout the years. She has published two short stories with a Christian curriculum program dedicated to building character through stories and articles for elementary aged children. Kamilah Dozier is also a singer/songwriter, a wife, and a mother. She is currently working on a short story spiritual children's series as well as her first spiritual fiction novel.
