ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
Without the love and support of my friends and family, I would never have published this book. Through my life experience I was able to put my feelings into words. I want to thank all my childhood friends who gave me the wonderful memories that I hold dear to my heart today. The two main people who gave me the most memories are my dearest of friends but more like my sister Titha and my hanai brother Roland. Thank you to both of you for being there for me when I needed someone the most. We made a lot of memories together and both of you are held dear to my heart. I love both of you dearly.
I want to thank my hero and mentor, my mom who stood by me through all of life’s trials and tribulations. Mom you have been through a lot in your life but you made sure that our life was more meaningful and you gave us every opportunity you possibly could. You stood by me when I made mistakes and never judged me for the mistakes I did make. I also want to thank the person who helped to raise me, my brother, Myles. You were always there when I needed you and you helped me through a lot of life’s tough lessons. Although we fought, you never let anyone hurt me and you protected me the best you could. To my niece who taught me that no matter how old you are, with love of a family you can get through anything. I love you Kealoha and remember we will always be here for you.
To Joanne who is a really great friend who stood by me through a very rough time in my life. You always lent me an ear and shoulder when I needed it the most. I could never thank you enough for being such a great friend and you will always be family in my heart. To Keala who always believed in me and my writing. You gave me the courage to publish my book and I thank you for always being there for me when it counted.
A special acknowledgement goes out to God who gave me the talent to write and the trials and tribulations to write about. Without God I would not have been able to bring my emotions to paper and express them the way that I do. To my wonderful husband, Andrew, who fought for his country and adopted my children even though he did not have to. You are one of a kind and I thank God for bringing you into our lives. To my two beautiful children, Alexander and Ariyanna, who inspired me to be a better mother. Alex you have been through a lot for your young age but you have done it with innocence and kindness. I pray that you always stay the same lovable person. Ariyanna I thank God that he gave me such a caring person. Through your courage and tenacity for being your own person, you never backed down
