But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age is blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.

PART ONE: WISDOM AND SALVATION
I
SKU-000184406_TEXT-17.jpgWisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting get understanding.
Proverbs 4:7
In these times it is imperative that we ask questions about who we are as individuals and as a community. What is the true purpose for my life and relationships with others? It is a time to examine the validity of my hopes and dreams and their relevancy to these times. It is a time for me to be willing to question every value I hold. A time to know what is truth regarding the circumstances in the world around me? Have my perceptions of life led me away from truth and taken me on unfulfilling journeys? What effective role do I play physically, mentally, and spiritually in what is going on in both close and distant relationships? What is interfering with the visions of a peaceful co-existence among peoples and nations of the world?" I approach the answers to these questions from an inner (spiritual) as well as an outer perspective.
Many of us sincerely want harmony and peace. Yet, still there is so much war and competition on the planet. In many homes, schools, and churches (in these most intimate relationship settings) which model as microcosms of the macrocosm, we see various levels of attempts to live in harmony and to live in peace and cooperation. We are all connected and where unrest exist, peace cannot exist. Homes, schools, and churches serve as a foundation for a love walk. Further, some persons may not yet dream or visualize a peaceful co-existence among people and communities of the world. I ask why not? Is there a benefit in disharmony, chaos, exploitation, stress. We can see that some of this seemingly disunity is related to fears, feelings of inadequacy, anxiety and guilt. Some hold fears of scarcity that drives them to believe that there is not enough for everyone. The drive for self preservation interferes with the ability to love. Why are some so afraid of other viewpoints or closed to other societal lifestyles as though there is nothing to be learned from our differences? Why must some people harm or manipulate others as though they were eternal enemies? Where there is war and conflict, there is no love in that place of being. He who fears has not been made perfect in love."(1 John 4:18)
Are there really demons among or within us that influence people to mistrust, fear and fight each other? Are there demons who intentionally disrupt the ideas, institutions, and people who are in the process of peacemaking and fostering harmony? Are these demons real or illusions, creations of our minds? Are these demons merely our ignorance and a turning of our backs away from truth and wisdom?
For everyone practicing evil, hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.
John 3:20
In many mythological tales, as well as biblical stories, s/he who slays the demons (giants, unclean spirits), have been historically recognized as s/hero’s/champions. I think most people desire victory in life. They want to know the inner champion. Not a victory that comes from attack and war. A victory that comes from understanding reality, from recognizing errors and releasing them through forgiveness. The victory first starts within, when I desire to realize and accept the truth and peace
