Time Remnants: Living as Transitional Material While Seeking Cosmic Exploration
()
About this ebook
There are amazing remnants created through time by elemental forces. We find them everywhere and can study what nature has created and is progressively destroying. Everything begins, grows, declines, and ends. This process is pure existence. Life evolves consistently with seemingly little human plan or design.
Time Remnants: Living as Transitional Material While Seeking Cosmic Exploration reveals the difficulty in categorizing Phillip Reisners poetry, poetic prose, and indeed his philosophy. He expresses ideas without lecturing, reflects on spirituality without moralizing, and examines reality without misleading. His ideas are sometimes fluid and sometimes unwavering, but no matter their genesis, they are experiences refined by introspection. He has an acute awareness of his surroundings, and his importance and unimportance in the universe.
Time Remnants contains bits of wisdom hidden throughout, little jewels to remember and pieces of advice by which to live. His emphasis rests on individual fortitude, awareness, freedom and spirituality. Although he rebuffs the idea of being wise, he will admit to being intelligent enough to make up for his ignorance.
Phillip D. Reisner
I am the result of a life time influence and compi-lation of insight, foolishness and spirituality with a bit of wisdom occasionally surfacing. I grew up on an Indiana farm and never forgot my roots, even though I was involved with serving the Navy, teaching, manufacturing, real estate and construction during my seventy-six years of life. My wide variety of experiences are philosophically and spiritually woven throughout my writing of poetry. I have experienced joy and sorrow, enlightenment and ignorance, pride and humility; thus, my writing ex-presses protected passions and emotions connected with lifes diverse passing of time and collection of encounters, events and coincidences. I have a melancholy sense of personal and family history. Sometimes both hurt and reward me to a point of causing inner and outer emotional expression. The cosmos seems to speak to me as if I have been to Earth before or possibly from somewhere out there in that mysterious cosmos. I speculate that heaven is only a thought or a moment away. I believe that I am only a grain of sand in the desert of humanity. I consider myself unimportant in that desert, but know without me the desert would be less. So, in my final analysis, I pray to be important enough to get Gods attention.

Time Remnants - Phillip D. Reisner
Preface
I meander among time remnants found on a beach that has experienced hundreds of hurricanes. They surely testify to resilience against uncontrollable natural forces. I see remains of trees that cast shadows in one way or another, and have for hundreds of years, existing from eager seedling to subdued stump.
My brain thinks and mind reasons, together they help shape the universe for a short time. Reality becomes illusion and all that is left are remnants from a seeing brain, a reasoning mind and a collecting soul. Present time is a constant virgin seeking understanding, and history is her tainted consequence.
These tree remnants yet share moment to moment shifting shadows as an engaging sun arcs the sky and causes them to create millions of illusionary black sand portraits. I am no different, casting own likeness while growing and retreating through time. Everything exists as transitional material while experiencing alteration and seeking cosmic exploration.
I find life fulfillment in time awareness, shadow appreciation and evolutionary placement. Sooner or later I shall no more cast my own shadow, but will become only consequential ashes absorbed by a salty sea.
My complicated life, in final analysis, will be nothing more than a spiritual shadow that I daily shared with family, relationships and environment. My shadow cannot perjure itself for it has no mind, intention or philosophy. It is my true replica and life long companion. I continue to learn about my ever changing shadow and altering self.

Everything seems to begin, grow, decline and end. This process is pure existence. Life evolves consistently with seemingly little human plan or design.
We are now going to contemplate how innumerable forces cause everything and everyone to evolve, grow and age with more self control than realized. We exist in the very center of all that is within our individual universe. Many are extremely aware of their environment and thus have more control over their lives than others. We tend to make our own luck. We dream of what the future might be with personal influence and record the history of what was with known effect.
Together, we are now going to examine and consider some exposed gnarled roots of my own personal existence. I hope to help you expose and appreciate some of your life experience remnants, and learn to anticipate present and future experiences as positive ways to help determine your own destiny.
