Journey of Life: A Collection of Poems of Love and Inspiration
()
About this ebook
Through poetry, it conveys how love effected change. How an image of a man was transformed to goodness by the persistence, dedication, faith and unwavering love the Angel possessed for him. It reveals the iniquity that was inside him and the hurt that he imposed upon others, including the Angel. It shows how love does prevail, despite the obstacles of life, regardless of the circumstances of negativity, and in spite of actions or events that were intended to destroy that which God intended to provide.
It illustrates the bond between two individuals, where a foundation of love was undeniable and an unexplainable connection was impassioned. It describes how a man became closer to God, appreciated life more than ever before, recognized himself, sought and achieved change, learned integrity, honor, and truth from the whispers of an Angel, , and was rewarded with everlasting love.
Terry Lawrence
Terry Lawrence began his journey of life in northeastern Ohio in a charming small town along the Ohio River. After his graduation from Youngstown State University in Youngstown, Ohio and armed with several degrees in business, his 40-year career expedition transported him to Washington, D.C., Baltimore MD, St. Petersburg FL, Los Angeles CA, Las Vegas NV, and Athens, Greece. It wasn’t until 2008 Terry experienced an explosion of his creative prowess when he launched his own poetry website and published his first book, Journey of Life. This book, The Right Path Taken, is his second in a planned series that archives the various dimensions of love relative to his own personal relationship with God, friends, and especially his own life partner. Because of the love he discovered, with the intervention of God, coupled with his new surroundings living in Vancouver WA, nestled in the beautiful and awe-inspiring Northwest, Terry encountered a life-changing transformation where he was able to take the right path of life. A lighted path that radiated an appreciation for God, life, character, righteousness, and, more than anything else, love.

CWPhoto.jpgA long time ago, there was a little girl. She loved playing with a little deer. She so enjoyed stroking its smooth fur. She was fascinated by its invited reception and undivided attention of the love she was providing to it. She was in awe of its natural beauty, as her eyes were affixed to its motionless body that craved each and every loving stroke. It was a time of innocence. It was a little girl exploring one of life’s many wonders.
This little girl was an absolute treasure. Beyond cute, and certainly above adorable. She was full of boundless love. She was anxious to explore her surroundings, as any young child, where there are open fields, beautiful flowers, sunny days, and a powder blue sky sprinkled with soft, puffy clouds. She viewed the world around her as her own limitless playground.
This book is dedicated to that little girl from Utah, affectionately known as CW, who grew into a woman, filled with deep inspiration, spirited enthusiasm, creative talents, and a passion for helping others. She took me, as a darkened piece of coal and turned my life into a diamond, with her dynamic fortitude, unwavering persistence, innate care, and extreme patience. My life was shadowed in darkness, as evil characteristics governed most of my actions and most of my thoughts. I walked within an environment of darkness, because the many years and experiences seemed to convince me that that was where I actually belonged. But she gave her heart to me, and it allowed me rise above the depths of despair and from the abyss of evil. Her love unmasked a designed image to reveal my true self, and my loving heart.
She gave me purpose. A pure outlook on life, and the ability to reflect where and what I was, to the joy in knowing where I am now and who I really am. I have learned honor and integrity, and I walk a path of righteousness. I’ve become closer to the Heavenly Father. And all of this because of the little girl within the woman.
Chartered Waters
The day has come, finally so, enjoy us both to be,
A journey’s start, path defined, and love for you and me.
I’ve counted days and hours too, this moment and this night;
Confirmed my heart, feelings blessed, and knowing it so right.
We start the journey, look ahead, and leaving pasts in wake,
Mark the moment and loving each, the steps we here shall take.
Feelings strong, and right they are, for us to move ahead,
I see the plan, I know the path, a day we when are wed.
Days of happy, deserving us, and never to be sad,
Ne’er to think, prior to this, of what we each had had;
Put behind us, days of strife, and many wasted years,
No more the treatment, of the bad, or nights so full of tears.
Now tears of joy, of love and all, and what we now will share,
Not knowing how, but knowing why, and now the time is where;
We know that God, has blessed us so, and opened us this door,
We know the path, know the road, and lonely ne’er no more.
Chartered waters, now we see, to navigate the plan,
Time will take, and patience too, to do I know we can.
My love for you, tried and true, is all that matters so,
Embrace the bond, nurture it, and watch it ever grow.
We’re now together, all alone, explore our love we shall,
Knowing soon, that I will say, again, again, and wow
!
Your heart is mine, and mine to you, forever it shall be,
I see the path, I see it clear, it’s only you and me.
An angel sent, from Above, as said, I have before,
I love you now, loved you then, and love you evermore.
Once it happens, I believe, where love arrives in true,
Strikes the heart, engulfs the soul, and shows my love for you.
To feel your love, fond embrace, anew that we transform,
And know our hearts flow with love, that boil beyond warm;
Special is, this path we take, that words are hard to find,
A route of love, such special thoughts, and always on my mind.
Always near, though distance be, to keep us far apart,
My love is endless, always here, and always in my heart;
We’ll make it work, this I pledge, our mission to pursue,
For we know, the way to out, can only be to through.
So, here’s our time, only us, explore each other’s love;
And know our hearts, merge our souls, and thinking only of,
The days ahead, times to come, and down the one-way road,
To when we’re one, when we’re wed, and love to ne’er erode.
I know the path, that darkness has, will take some time to walk,
But clearer still, the path shall be, the more and more we talk;
And more and more, we love each other, clearer is the trail,
To when that day, a kiss awaits, beneath your wedding veil.
Until that day, we start our journey, now this day to be,
When know, I do, that love prevails, prevails for you and me;
So this begins, our day as one, and plans that we shall start,
And promise I, unto you, my love, with all my heart!
Water’s Ripples
The moon is half, though full its seems, and fills a lonely heart,
Shines so bright, and shows a path, to those, who are apart;
A path distinct, a path of light, upon the water clear,
Like endless love, the water comes, and seems to bring us near.
I watch the water coming in, reminding me of you.
Its gentle touch upon the land, and love that is so true
I miss you so, this night and all, my heart and all its pain
