Healthy Recipes Kids Dinners - Louise Gorrie

    Forward

Firstly let me introduce myself, my name is Louise and I’m a mother of two. I’m a bit of a wellness junkie. I have a food instagram, https://www.instagram.com/wundawomanwellness/, and a couple of other businesses entirely unrelated to wellness.

Dinnertime is still one of our struggles. Getting kids to eat what I think they should is a constant battle. I make no promises that this book will end your dinner-dramas and create blissful dining experiences with your child, however I hope it provides you with a few more recipes up your sleeve that can become reliable favourites.

I sometimes mention organic ingredients, and I’m not doing it to be pretentious. I believe there are certain fruits and vegetables you should buy organic, mostly carrots, potatoes and apples, because the levels of pesticide is not doing your little people any good. Research the Clean 15 and Dirty Dozen to find out more.

And just a note about pasta. Vary your pasta range. Each time you run out of pasta try something different. Go to your health food shop and try kamut, spelt, quinoa, buckwheat, rice anything but durum wheat (which includes wholemeal).

If you enjoy the recipes in this book, you might also be interested in Healthy Kids Party to cook up a storm at your child’s next birthday party.

By the way, I write in the Queens English so it might look like I am misspelling words like colour, favourites, etc but trust me when I say I’m not - really!
