About this ebook

Jesus Christ the Messiah came to earth and preached and taught us a way of salvation so that we could be free from the wages of sin which leads to death. Shortly after Jesus' return to the glory of the Father men invaded the church or the body of Christ and taught the believers a lot of false doctrines, creeds, concepts, and mere religions. No surprise Jesus the Apostles, and Prophets warned that this would have happened. In truth, the apostle Peter and Paul said, "They'll make merchandise of you." In this present world, how can you know for sure that the church you are in is the true, correct, Bible-believing church? Do you want to waste time in a so-called church that is Satan's Playground rather than Jesus' temple of righteousness? And what about the gospel? What about it? How do you know what gospel is real from what is a snare to the soul of man? If you want to know more about the church, the way of holiness, and the gospel of Jesus Christ then read this book. However, if you already know these things bypass this book.

    Introduction

God isn’t just a being we as humans think of as something that is imaginary or was handed down by one culture to the next. All of creation owes its existence to God not just a god but the true and living God of all humans, angels, and nature. God isn’t violent as many have believed through ignorant commentaries and doctrines of men who have never met with God. It takes something to come to the knowledge of the truth in God through Christ. We can’t believe in God without believing in Christ Jesus the Lord. Jesus Christ isn’t a made up Son of God or a fable of Jewish origin. Jesus Christ isn’t the God of confusion or the God of envy or the God of Strife. The true God isn’t contained in a book or in a building but rather is contained in the heart of those who love Him and serve Him in truth and Spirit. God can’t be worshiped in lies, dishonor or any other evil thing. God can’t be worshiped with idols of any nature rather God is jealous in terms of how or what one put above Him in worship. Many will say I am going to the temple or church on either Sunday or Saturday to worship God and to do His will. It doesn’t take rocket science to come to the realization that God exists and He alone is God. The Bible states that there is One God and one Father of all. The day we forget God or start to believe that there is more than one God is the day we have gone into error. Error and God doesn’t work together in any way.

The beauty of God is that He doesn’t have human emotions or thinks like how a man thinks. Human emotions quite often have given incorrect judgments and decisions in our world. God doesn’t judge by what He sees or hears but rather by what the individual’s heart is made up of. While man has always been fascinated by what he hears and sees God isn’t fascinated by these things but rather what your inner being is made up of.  The court of law judges by the evidence in our earthly system but in God eyes humans are their own judge, juror, and executioner. God isn’t high minded or boastful because that isn’t how God is.  God is an awesome God and He reigns forever and this is evident to those who fear Him in all things as they now become spiritual children in Christ.

As Philippians 4:13 reminds us that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. It’s ironic to know that somehow the world in which we live in gives credit to secular people such as Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, and many others more than they do Jesus Christ. Recognition in the world is beneficial to world leaders even the Bible states that when we pray prayer should be made first to kings or in other words government and world leaders, but the point that I’m making is that man has always given praise to human thinking and concepts and creeds. But if Jesus’ words are: You shall love your neighbor as yourself many will find this as an offense because of their wicked heart. The heart is wicked because of sin.

What do we need from God right this second? The Bible states that we should ask and it will be given and that we should knock and it shall be opened to us.  Seek and find. In plain language have faith in God through Christ Jesus and believe that what you ask for you have received. I can’t tell you what to pray for since that is between you and God but what I implore you is to always have faith and pray in the Spirit because God is able to do the impossible.

    With the love of Christ,

    Perilous Times Shall Come

    2Timothy3:1-7 KJV

    1.  This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

    2.  For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

    3.  Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

    4.  Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

    5.  Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

    6.  For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,

    7.  Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

If we have ever wondered when is described as the Last Days we have the evidence of the Bible to give us the truth and answers. The Last Days can be described as the time of the ascension of Jesus Christ and to His disciples or apostles to our present time here on earth. In other words, the Last Days is just 2000 and something years old since it extends in the future or before Jesus Christ returns. The book of Second Timothy 3 gives us a good concept of what to expect in the Last Days. We have to understand biblical texts to understand why the term Last Days is used and not last day. The Last Days leads up to the last day. So does this mean that the last day is Judgment Day? The last day is indeed symbolic with judgment day and is Judgment Day according to the Bible.  The Day of Pentecost in Acts Chapter Two was an official sign of the period of the Last Days. What happened on the Day of Pentecost? The Day of Pentecost wasn’t that special as how many people assumed it to be. Pentecost was and still is a Jewish festival. Pentecost is a harvest festival celebrated seven weeks after another Jewish festival which is called Passover.

The Day of Pentecost was when the apostles received the Holy Spirit and spoke in other languages being unlearned men of Galilee. It is in this verse that Peter stated something that the prophet Joel said hundreds of years before to the people of God which is Israel. What did Joel state? That in the Last Days God will pour out his Spirit upon all people (see Joel 2: 28-32). We have clearly seen from Scripture where the Jewish apostles receive the Holy Spirit as was prophesied but it is clearly evident too that the Book of Joel is still yet to be fulfilled in all aspects including Chapter Two.

We have highlighted Pentecost to emphasize that the Last Days started from the Apostles and not hundreds of years after as some may believe. What will happen in the Last Days? The Apostle Paul through the revelation of the Holy Spirit lists several things that will occur between this eras. It is however not limited to just those things that are listed in 2 Timothy 3. He lists the first as: Note well in the Last Days perilous times shall come. The word perilous has a lot of synonyms such as difficult, hard, wicked, terrible, woe, etc. It is no coincidence that the Last Days begin with this word perilous. What have we known from reading God’s word the Bible? We know that no one who truly loves God is loved by the world. We also know that they persecuted the Apostles and disciples so they must persecute us also. We have known and have seen maybe on the T.V.  on the news that in the past centuries it was very terrible, wicked, violent and perilous.  Today in our time is no different because it is still a perilous period and a most violent one. Some will say but it’s a different time while that is partly true the whole truth, however, is that only technology makes it seem as if it is so. Technology has changed nearly all aspect of life apart from the sinful nature of man. Technology can’t teach us to do good in the way the Spirit of God does. We can’t compare our God to technology because He doesn’t change by months, days, or years. To compare two thousand years to our present day we can just imagine the millions that have been killed due to violence, plague, and disease. The Last Days would be unfair to describe without the word perilous at the very beginning of the first line. We can’t have times of difficulty without people being at the forefront. Even with our present earth, we have radical Islamic groups that have plans to take over our world and our governments. We have other world leaders with their nuclear minds who have the desire to rule supreme over the earth. Everything that we list becomes and leads to the continuation of dangerous times of difficulty. These are just some of the symptoms of the Last Days and there are many others. Let us look at some others.

For men shall be lovers of their own selves rather than God. What does this mean to us? It seems this is the age of men and women who are in love with themselves rather than being in love with God. The reason why they love their own selves is due to the fact that the love of God isn’t in them because of various sins and because of prophecy. Anything you love more than the true God is considered to be an idol. Idolatry is strictly forbidden in the Ten Commandments and throughout the Prophets, Writings, and Historical books. We can’t serve two masters in Jesus’ words because we will either love one or hate the other. The behavior of these lawless individuals being idolatrous is their way of telling God that He isn’t welcomed in their thoughts or their hearts.

Covetousness is linked with idolatry as well throughout the writings of the Old Testament and New Testament and in the wisdom of God. Being covetous will obviously lead to many other sins. In plain terms, it will lead to all other sins. This sign of the Last Days shows that the heart of man is still cruel and still desire to be above others. The heart of man is desperately wicked and humans themselves can’t understand it in any way because it is evil. We can only discern what is truly good and evil when we are living in the presence of God.  That is why we should flee from covetousness because it will corrupt the soul to death.

We have seen that this age is the age of boasting. Boasting is yet again just as the other sins of the Last Days. Man has the heart to boast but we who are children of God desire to be humble. Children of God should only boast in God through Christ, not in any other thing. One shouldn’t boast because his child is more brilliant than another neighbor’s child because that isn’t anything to boast about as he’s now a saint in Christ Jesus. Boasting is a complete sin and is very evident in the Last Days.

Being proud is just as being boastful in the sight of God. We shouldn’t be proud of our own wisdom before God because we are God’s children now. Being proud is another sign of the last days. In Paul’s trial before King Agrippa, the king told him that because of his testimony he had nearly persuaded him to become a Christian. What the king meant was because of your good testimony I would become a Christian but because of my fleshly proud self, I can’t serve Jesus Christ. How many times do we see people refusing God’s salvation because of being proud? We can attest to this because our minds work like this: when we think of doing good evil is present. The sinner will say to himself because of being proud of heart I want to receive Jesus Christ but my friends will laugh at me. I want to receive Christ but my family will reject me. We have to notice the structure of the tense I want. The heart of man always want but can he truly seek it or win it. We have seen proud humans from all walks of life, from education, business, sports, church, religion, and the list goes on, but God wants us not to be selfish or proud in a negative light but be proud in righteousness and love. The Last Days is filled with the proud in heart and not the pure in heart. When we see that our society is filled with vain pride we can clearly also see that lawlessness is evident.

Blasphemers are those who don’t care about God in the wider sense but rather speak against God, His anointed, and His truth as Psalm 2 gives us some pointers. These individuals who practice blasphemy are driven by the spirit of blasphemy or the anti-christ and by the works of the flesh as listed in Galatians 5.  There are different types of blasphemy and Jesus pointed out these in His word as mentioned in Matthew 12:31. Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit can never be forgiven neither in this world or the one to come. It seems in truth that most of these sinful behaviors of the Last Days are sins that we are very familiar with but it is more rampant in this era by many. We have to be careful how we criticize what others say especially as it pertains to the Gospel of Christ. Jesus Christ was accused on several occasions because the Jewish Pharisees thought he was of the devil and preaching a different gospel. The other apostles were accused of blasphemy because the Gospel they preached seemed different to the Jewish council. In our time we are seeing many
